There was a lot of hype surrounding the release of Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born.”
And that movie lived up to every bit of the hype.
I mean, it was soooo goood. The romantic musical drama was both produced and directed by Cooper.
Eric Roth and Will Fetters joined Cooper in writing the screenplay for the film.
The film is a remake of the movie which was made three times prior in 1976, 1954, and 1937.
Many say that the most compelling part of this rendition of the film is Cooper and Lady Gaga’s performances as Jackson “Jack” Maine and Ally Campana. These just really put so much life into those roles. Most notably the chemistry between the two.
People have absolutely fallen in love with the film and it’s music, especially the song “Shallow.”
The show is performed as a duet between Copper and Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.
It was co-written by Gaga and Cooper along with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt. Gaga produced the song with Benjamin Rice.
The song is a wild success. It’s topped the record charts in more than a dozen countries and has won numerous awards like the Academy Award for Best Original Song, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Song, and four Grammy Award nominations.
The song is performed during a crucial point in the movie when the two perform together for the first time on stage and sing the song which delves into the deep conversations the characters have when the first meet.
According to Wikipedia, Gaga wrote the country and folk-pop power ballad from “Ally’s point-of-view with the self-aware lyrics asking each other if they are content being who they are.”

Cooper and Gaga sought to recreate their onscreen chemistry when they performed the song live at the 91st Annual Academy Awards.
The song began to play as Cooper and Gaga stood up from their front row seats and walked onto the stage holding hands.
They stood across from each other in front of the piano looking into each other’s eyes as Cooper belted out the beginning lyrics of the song.
Gaga then sits down at the piano to sing her verse, gazing at Cooper all the while.
Their performance ended with them singing cheek-to-cheek behind at the piano.
Many speculated that there is actually real chemistry between the two. Like real romantic chemistry… in real life.
“Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see,” the Gaga said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! ““[Shallow] is a love song, A Star Is Born is a love story,” she explained. “It was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time… When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel. I’m an artist and I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job… fooled ya!” she said with a laugh.”
It’s called acting people! You can watch the video of their performance below.
