South Korea is known for a lot of things, from cosmetics and K-pop to Samsung and Hyundai.
The more you learn about the incredible country, the more you feel like traveling there. If you do, be sure to visit Sinchon-dong. It’s a neighborhood in Seoul famous for its nightlife and numerous bars. Maybe you’ll even be lucky enough to see Jang Ha-Eun’s show!
The magnificent guitar player often performs there, and her skills will leave you speechless. Here’s what we’re talking about.
Jang Ha-Eun is performing with her band, and the show they’ve put on intrigues the whole crowd.
That doesn’t come as a surprise since Jang is an educated musician and a very skilled guitar player. She’s often nicknamed a genius guitarist, and she definitely deserves the title. Ha-Eun majored in guitar at the Korea National University of Arts. She’s gained a lot of international attention as a next-generation performer with thousands of Instagram followers.
Her playing style is striking because she plays so fast.
The sound is impressive, and you almost can’t believe that such a tiny girl can have such powerful hands! We’re guessing that Jang is already a star in Seoul from the way her bandmate introduced her to the audience. Our assumption was proved right when we saw the reaction from people who gathered in the middle of the street to hear her play.
As she took the microphone to say a few words, everyone started cheering and screaming in excitement.

The band consists of four members: a drummer, a keyboard player and two guitarists. The camera is mainly focused on the girl, because of her tremendous strumming skills. It looks like she’s become one with that guitar, and we love to see the instrument suit the player so well. Everyone there is an excellent musician. Their performance together is the definition of harmony—and if you’re wondering about the song, the band is playing “Tamacun,” originally recorded by Mexican musical duo Rodrigo and Gabriela in 2006.

Jang knows this well, as she’s already taken home several different awards.
This talented girl won the Korea Other Association International Guitar Competition, the Vladivostok School Award in Russia and the Carnegie Hall Piece Concert Music Achievement Award in New York. Jang also has a lot of impressive concerts behind her. Some of them are a concert with world-class conductor Keum Nanse, as well as concerts with Russia’s National Opera and the Herald Philharmonic Orchestra.
