If you’re ever feeling down and need something to make you smile, you can’t go wrong watching kids having fun.
Being an adult can be difficult. When the responsibilities of life pile up, it’s easy to lose sight of the things that make us happy. Running errands, paying bills, taking care of our loved ones, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, etc. are often priorities.
The list goes on and can feel never-ending. Thus, it’s important to have something that relaxes you and helps to make these things less intimidating.
For some people, it’s cat videos. For others, it might be watching the reactions of dogs after being away from their owners for so long.
Then there are kid videos. You can never go wrong watching a kid have fun. If you were fortunate enough to have a happy childhood, they’re sure to take you back to those good ol’ days – before life felt so hectic!
Have no fear, we have the perfect video for you.
A young man on stage, with six of his peers, had the opportunity to showcase some of his dance talents to a crowd. All of them do a great job but it was the boy in a green t-shirt who stole the show.
“Apache” by The Sugarhill Gang blares through the sound system. The boy waits patiently in line as the three dancers before him show off their best moves.
The first young man to dance was one of the oldest on the stage. He wows the crowd with “the worm” and some pretty impressive b-boy footwork.
The second boy might be a gymnast! He performs acrobatic flips including cartwheels and backbends. He also has great rhythm and proved that he likely had some professional dance experience!
The third boy was high-octane and full of energy! He couldn’t wait to show off his dance skills. He does the child’s version of the moonwalk, which of course isn’t the actual moonwalk but it’s all in good fun.
Finally, the boy in the green shirt was called. He steps out of the line with great confidence and it’s easy to see why. This kid can dance! Not only does he perform excellent b-boy moves, but he also does spinning headstands.
Not just handstands but headstands!
The crowd, particularly his aunt who was filming the show, goes wild. The hosts of the event were just as impressed. They stop the show entirely to have a word with the young dancers.
“Man, we should have had these guys up here the whole time,” the man with the microphone says. “I don’t gotta do nothin’.”
The host continues by saying that the boys on stage showed heart and confidence by showing up on stage and dancing the way that they did.
“They weren’t scared. They came out there, they had heart.”
The crowd cheers in agreement.
“They know themselves!” he shouts before telling the DJ to start the music back up.
Really, the boy in the green didn’t need much of a confidence boost but he sure got one. He seems to amp the energy up a bit once the music sounds through the speakers again.
He does rapid-fire footwork, seemingly faster than before. Towards the end, he does another handstand without any hands sending the crowd and hosts into a frenzy. He finishes with more b-boy floor work and a spinning headstand.
These young kids put on one heck of a performance. Let’s hope they keep this same energy as they grow into adulthood!
