A whole new culture and art movement that formed in the Bronx, New York City has since taken over the world.
For those who don’t know, we’re talking about hip-hop culture and breakdancing. Today, everyone wants to learn some of those cool moves—but what about children?
As it turns out, even little kids are getting in on the action—and we have the video to prove it.
The dancers are from Jade’s Hip Hop Academy, the only academy of its kind in Toronto.
Established in Brampton in 2006, the Academy aims to bring hip hop and street dance styles to the studio.
JHHA has built an impressive reputation over the years, and it’s the only studio of its kind in Toronto, Canada. They’ve already been guests on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2015, and 17,000 fans are subscribed to their YouTube channel.
The owner and choreographer is Jade Jager, who has managed to establish quite an empire for all dance lovers.
Ms. Jade stated that hip hop is her true passion, and everyone is welcome in her 8,000 square-foot studio.
It’s a spacious studio where all the magic happens—though if you want to find out more, check out the official website.
We’re sure of one thing, though: some of the youngest members of JHHA will melt your heart!
The video features the youngest members of Jade’s Academy, ages seven to nine, whose amazing talent will blow you away.
These kids are already pretty good at breaking, popping and locking, along with just about anything that comes to your mind when you hear about hip hop. As the music goes on, the host asks them if they’re ready. They nod their little heads at the same time, and then they get down to business.
Seems like they’ve learned a few lessons about confidence, too!
The five boys are all dressed in the same outfits. They spread across the stage and start dancing in a simple way—but soon enough, they’re bursting into handstands, spins and other complex moves!
That’s when the fun starts—and these little men show us what they’re really made of.
Their focus, attitude, and teamwork are too cute for words!
We’re guessing that teaching children this young to stay in complete sync probably isn’t as simple as it looks…
The five little fellows manage to follow the choreography surprisingly well!
They’re all in time, and they work as a team. Overall, it was an outstanding performance!
What we loved the most is how one of them picked himself up after falling.
It happens right at the beginning, but the boy stands back up and continues as if nothing happened. His friends were right by his side and they made sure the rest of the routine went smoothly for him.
They might not even be aware of how much they’ve helped him, but the true spirit shines through the performance.
Formations might need a bit more work, but other than that, the boys were awesome!
Since the video was posted, it has earned more than two million YouTube views.
These boys are well on their way to becoming professionals, and we wish them the best of luck.
For the rest of us who felt motivated to pick up a few dance lessons, there’s nothing to lose—it’s just an opportunity to have more fun!
