There is a reason why Keanu Reeves is still relevant today.
A lot of celebrities have come and gone through the years.
Some just faded out to retirement, while others experienced heavy backlash when their questionable behavior was brought to light.
A few, however, became fan favorites not only for their acting skills but for the kind of person they are when away from the cameras.
No actor can be as wholesome as Keanu Reeves.
For those millennials, he’s known as Neo from the hit sci-fi franchise The Matrix. For those who came after, he’s known as sad-guy Keanu, John Wick, and the most likable person in the world.
Reeves, despite being one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, was known to be a “regular guy.”
He walks around the streets alone and even takes public transportation.
And while he’s “suffering” from great success, he makes sure that he stays humble and down to earth. In one popular podcast, they mentioned that Reeves has hit a Tom Cruise level of fame but decided to mellow down while living life.
He is also known for his unchanging fashion sense.
People may have noticed that he was wearing the same pair of worn-out brown boots whenever he was outside. He also wasn’t flashy — a good pair of straight-cut pants, a dark plain t-shirt, and a jacket. Grow your hair long and you can already cosplay as the Matrix star.
It’s also one of the characteristics people admired about Reeves. He’s successful but he doesn’t brag about it. He’s just happy to walk around and eat ice cream.
But what really endeared him to people later in his career was his heart.
One of the latest news about him was when he talked to a homeless individual while filming for the third installment of his hit action movie franchise John Wick.
John Wick is known to be an unapologetic and highly efficient killing machine that does everything in his power to achieve his goal. In real life, however, Reeves is known to be a softie.
Rumors and other claims circulated saying Reeves has been interacting with homeless people since 1997. He was said to have shared food and stories with them.

Besides being Hollywood’s “Nicest Guy,” Reeves is also known as a staunch advocate for cancer research.
He donated 70% of his total earnings from The Matrix to fight cancer.
Inspired by his sister’s battle with leukemia, the John Wick star donated around $30 million dollars for cancer research. He even auctioned off a Zoom date with him where the final bid reached tens of thousands of dollars. The main beneficiary of the date was Camp Rainbow Gold, a cancer charity for kids.

He is also known to have given film support staff lavish gifts. He once gave a set-builder $20,000 when he was going through financial challenges.
12 stuntmen from The Matrix: Reloaded received Harley-Davidson bikes. The stunt team for John Wick, meanwhile, received Rolex Submariner watches.
