The first thing Keanu did was to make sure he lived close to his beloved sister.
He sold his home so he could stay near Kim, and give her the treatment and help she badly needed.
He made sure that his sister was comfortable and free of stress as much as possible, so she can recover fast.

It took 10 years for Kim to fully recover. All throughout that period, Keanu never left her and gave up on her.
He was there for her in every single step she took until she was fully healed.
He even cleaned her home to ensure that Kim was calm and relaxed.
The Matrix star put his career on hold for his sister but was still able to support her treatment and needs.

Keanu also helped other people with leukemia by supporting them with 70% of his proceeds from filming his first movie.
His salary for the said film is $45 million.
Can you imagine the number of leukemia patients he was able to help because of this huge amount of donations?
The selfless star never bragged about his philanthropic acts and was just consistent in supporting foundations and institutions with a good cause.
Fans all over the world admire him for this trait and continue to support his projects, knowing that they are being instruments for a good man to spread kindness to the world.
