Certain movies have been etched into the fabric of our society and will be burnt into our memories for the rest of our lives. The musical, Grease, is definitely one of those movies, and John Travolta proves he’s still got it in this hilarious video.

Danny Zuko is back, and we love it!

John Travolta hasn’t lost a step…and you can watch him morph into Danny Zuko from Grease on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Sometimes, an actor plays a role so good that it sticks with them for the rest of their careers, and for John Travolta, that role was Danny Zuko from Grease. His appearance on The Tonight Show happened to fall on the 40th anniversary of the legendary movie.

When Travolta went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his movie Gotti, Fallon challenged him to give everyone a blast from the past – and he obliged.

The video starts with Fallen complimenting Travolta on his singing and dancing, making it easy to see where the conversation is going.

That’s when John Travolta reveals something that much of the audience might not have known.

When the conversation turns to dance, Fallon can’t help but ask Travolta for a taste of the past, but he never expected to learn a fun fact about the dancing from Grease.

Travolta reveals that he’s actually the one who suggested the iconic dance at the end of the movie!

“Like with Pulp Fiction, I grew up with all these kind of novelty dances,” Travolta explained. “So in Grease, they needed a step for that “You’re The One That I Want” at the end, so I said ‘well, we used to do the Four Corners, why don’t we do that?'”

What is the Four Corners dance?

There are several dances called the “Four Corners,” but the version Travolta is talking about is actually rather simple. You just put your hands on your hips while rotating them, and simultaneously stepping in a square. Remember, it’s all in the hips and footwork.

That’s when the door opens for Fallon to ask Travolta to give them a tutorial on the Four Corners dance

The crowd erupts as the then 64-year-old agrees to show them how to do the Four Corners. And just like that, a viral moment is born.

Just like in the movie, he grabs his waist and gyrates his hips while moving his feet in a square. It’s obvious that he hasn’t lost a step, and his dancing is every bit as enthralling as it was over 40-years-ago.

He even gets Fallon in on the action, and the comedian-turned-talk show host doesn’t do half bad. It only lasts a few seconds, but that was just enough time for people to have Danny Zuko flashbacks.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the only time Travolta has given tutorials on his famous dances…

Travolta has played tons of characters that have lived on in people’s hearts, and many of those characters have done iconic dances that people will never forget. From Grease to Pulp Fiction, Saturday Night Fever, and Hairspray, Travolta has proved he’s got some slick moves on multiple occasions.

In a guest spot before the pandemic hit, Travolta showed James Corden, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Sam Taylor-Johnson, all how to do the famous dance from Pulp Fiction on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Once again, he didn’t disappoint!
