Queen’s mega-hit “Bohemian Rhapsody” earned a place in the Grammy Hall of Fame and is the “most-streamed song” of the 20th century. So it’s not very surprising that a lot of artists have covered it over the years. However, it doesn’t mean they’ve all been from the rock-and-roll genre.

Grammy Award-winning country star, Jennifer Nettles, took the stage during the CMT Next Women of Country Tour. On her song list was “Bohemian Rhapsody” – and all it took was singing the first words to make the crowd go nuts.

There’s something incredible about listening to a musical artist perform something you perhaps wouldn’t expect.

Who can forget when Disturbed took the internet by storm with their cover of “The Sound of Silence?” Or, did you know that rapper Post Malone has a chilling acoustic version of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” from back in the day?

Some might not envision “Bohemian Rhapsody” as a song that would cross over to the world of country music. But Jennifer Nettles might just change your mind.

Nettles has made great achievements and won many awards in the industry – both as a solo artist and in the musical duo Sugarland.

The country starlet can fill a room with her powerful vocals, so it makes sense that she’s performed with other powerhouses like Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and more. From what Rare Country discovered, Nettles is pretty amazing no matter what she sings!

Crowd members got to find out just how spectacular Nettles is at singing Queen’s 1975 classic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The video below features Nettles on stage accompanied by her band. In it, they cover the six-minute song that’s uniquely made up of a variety of sections – starting with the famous intro.

One viewer wrote:

“Is there any song this amazing woman can’t sing well? I love Queen and was totally blown away by this cover! Go Jennifer.”

Nettles isn’t the only star of the show.

Although Nettles is the main singer, she’s beautifully supported by her band that’s made up of instrumentalists and back-up vocalists. The videography (by Becky Fluke) is stunning too, and seems to blend multiple concerts together (going from Nettles’ different shirts).

There isn’t a moment of their “Bohemian Rhapsody” rendition that isn’t entertaining to watch.

Just over three minutes in, they knock the opera segment out of the park.
