No matter who you are, it takes real courage to try and launch a music career.
It goes without saying that those who want to make it in the entertainment industry are expected to have an iron stomach. Even though the industry has changed over the years and there are fewer gatekeepers now than ever before, finding success takes both talent and a good marketing sense. On the plus side, however, we all have a shot at it by making our own videos and loading them onto the internet.
But one new music video in particular has been turning heads around the world.
The artist in question is young Jadyn Rylee, who is only 11 years old.
Rylee is from Toronto, Canada and has become something of a YouTube star for her incredible voice and her charisma. Although the channel began as a way to express her voice and perform covers of famous songs, Rylee has also began performing original songs which are gaining popularity. One of those songs is “Only You,” a duet with another young singer named Brayden Ryle.
Ryle and Rylee met the summer before and became fast friends.
One recording artist close to the pair says that their bond helps drive the energy of the song:
“We hope you feel the connection that we did when these kids met this past summer . . . they seemed so in tune with each other and knew exactly what to do.”
As those who watch the video can see, Ryle and Rylee’s voices complement one another beautifully.
Though “Only You” is written as a traditional love song, Ryle and Rylee perform it as a tribute to their friendship. Both Rylee and Ryle are strong singers and the video shows the chemistry they have. So far, the clip has nearly a million views on YouTube—and that number is sure to grow and grow.
Above all, the video is a testament to the talent of these two young performers.
Despite being so young, Rylee and Ryle are already taking steps to launch music careers for themselves on the strength of their talent. And already the internet is responding. Rylee’s channel has more than 89,000 subscribers and is likely to only increase from there. Perhaps above all, “Only You” shows that with enough talent, you can achieve whatever you put your mind to.
