Getting married is one of the biggest days of your life.

Especially when your friends and family plan a surprise like this one! This Irish bride and groom were overcome with emotion when they were surprised by a touching performance of “Stand By Me” during their wedding.

The soon-to-be married couple had no idea what their friend had planned for them, but the special moment brought them to tears.

When it came time for Rachel and Shane McNally’s wedding day, their friend Hannah O’Brien was getting ready for a big surprise. She had been training friends and family on both sides to get ready to perform “Stand By Me” for the bride and groom.

The video starts off with just one friend singing, though before long, more people stand up and join in.

Hannah carefully selected and practiced with wedding guests who had good singing voices, and her dedication paid off!

That’s when the bride’s father stood up and started singing with the others as well.

When the bride’s father joins the performance, the groom is overwhelmed by emotion and begins crying tears of joy and gratitude.

More and more wedding guests get in on the action. It’s hard to believe they kept the secret with this many people involved!

By now, over a dozen people are standing up and singing “Stand By Me.”

The bride and groom are completely stunned by the planned performance, but it gets even better.

After singing from their seats for a bit, all the performers walk to the front of the church.

The brilliant singers line up in three rows, with all their voices blending together to make a powerful and jaw-dropping harmony.

Every generation is up on the stage, from young kids to grandparents, mothers and fathers, all bonded by song.

They sound more like a professional choir than random wedding guests, maneuvering their way through the legendary song with ease.

In the last minute of the performance, the singers really let their vocals soar. As if the whole thing wasn’t incredible enough, the last part of the performance takes it to a whole other level. Some of the singers harmonize in the background, while others showcase their extraordinary vocal talent.

The wedding took place at St Joseph’s Church in Carrickmacross, Ireland and the video was captured by videographer Ray Yore, who was touched by the well-planned performance.

He even explained his reaction in an interview with The Sun:

“It was an awesome surprise and moved everyone to tears, it was a beautiful tribute to the bride and groom.”
