Police officers protect life and property, patrol assigned areas, and respond to calls for police service.

There are many more duties and expectations of a policeman, but we rarely see an officer having a concert in the middle of the street. Humanity, professionalism, and courage have unexpectedly summed up by this kind police officer who walked by an accordion busker and decided to give it a whirl.

We have a video to back up this story about a musician policeman, and it’s amazing.

This soft-spoken Irish policeman brings out the best of a cloudy day in London.

It was a normal afternoon with people passing by.

On the street corner, there is a police officer and a woman with a small accordion. That’s all it takes to warm a heart. You want to know how? Well, what are the odds of a policeman who played accordion when he was younger stumbling upon an accordion busker? But it gets even better—he wants to play the instrument. He is very humble, cheerful, and tries to keep up conversation. The woman is from Romania and she doesn’t understand him well, but the cop manages to explain that he is from Ireland and that he used to play accordion.

She is surprised when he reaches out his hand and asks for permission to take the instrument and play something.

The moment is surreal as these two people share the same love for music and the language barrier fades away completely. This Irish jig puts a gigantic smile on cop’s face and probably takes him back to his youth.

The accordion is out of tune, but policeman plays surprisingly well and soon catches the attention of people walking by.

Most of them stop, take out their phones, and start filming the unconventional sight. One young man poses for a selfie with the policeman and they both laugh. The most adorable moment in the video is when a busker gives a police officer thumbs up as a sign of her approval for the song he plays. It was her way to say a lot of things with one universal sign we all understand, no matter where we come from. The woman enjoys the officer’s music as well, and she smiles, dances, and acts as if she was sharing that street stage with a close friend, which is beautiful.

We would live in a much better place if there were more gentlemen officers like him!

This little concert has three million YouTube views, and we get the impression that the woman enjoyed the company of this kind man. The officer even gives her some money after he finishes the song. He returns the accordion and walks away, leaving a breath of fresh air behind him.

But at the end of the video, there’s a big revelation.

Brendan Kavanagh uploaded this video on his YouTube channel, and he is not exactly a police officer.

Brendan, also known as Dr. K, is a contemporary British pianist and piano teacher of Irish descent. This musician never ceases to impress with his cosplays and the way he brings music and happiness with him wherever he goes.

Kavanaugh’s YouTube channel has 1.16 million subscribers and he describes his videos as “the music with boogie-woogie effect.”

Needless to say, the world needs more spontaneous musical performances like this one!
