In Galway, Ireland, it’s the street performers who offer much excitement as they give everyone a glimpse of Irish culture with their dancing. You’ll be compelled to stop, enjoy the show, and just take it all in.
These performances are always delightful to watch but it’s even better when the dancing is done by All-Ireland Champion, Emma O’Sullivan.
Raised in Connemara, Ireland, the striking dancer is also known as the Queen of Sean-nós.
She’s toured the world, sprinkling Ireland’s magic all over as she showcases her dance skills set to traditional Irish music.
Emma unfailingly attracts crowds wherever and whenever she dances.
During one particular street performance, Emma caught the attention of a small member of the audience. While the rest stood and watched in awe, one decided to join in.
It was an adorable little girl who wanted to dance alongside the pro. When Emma noticed she had company, she smiled and immediately shared the stage, even gesturing to her videographer to record the tiny dancer moving adorably beside her. A natural, the little girl concentrated on copying Emma’s move by watching the pro dancer’s feet carefully. You’ll love the growing confidence of the little girl and how she added her own style to it.
She stole the show, that’s for sure!
And the famous dancer? Well, Emma loved every minute of it.
The little girl’s family and most of the people watching couldn’t resist recording the entire performance, a welcome treat which earned loud applause. Even Emma applauded her little dance partner, who responded by clapping herself. It’s instances like these that remind you of just how much each day holds. From mundane to magical, these two definitely made the day brighter for everyone watching.
It was a brilliant street performance that captured so much: the little girl’s confidence, talent, and eagerness to dance, and Emma’s kindness and humility.
