You don’t want to miss this stellar performance!
Yussef Dayes had the internet in a frenzy, with his unique drumming style during this incredible performance of “Love Is The Message” with Alfa Mist.
We’ve all seen those musicians whose authenticity and flair sets them apart from the rest and make them extremely fun to watch. Drummer Yussef Dayes is one of those musicians, proving it in this energetic performance that went viral.
Dayes, an influential jazz drummer from the UK, teamed up with famous jazz pianist, Alfa Mist, bassist Rocco Palladino and guitarist Mansur Brown to play their song “Love Is The Message” live at Abbey Road Studios.
The Abbey has hosted all sorts of famous artists over the years, brilliant minds like Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Taylor Swift and many more.
Right from the start, Dayes goes wild on his drum set in the most enthusiastic way possible.
That’s when Mist joins in on the keys, shortly followed by the guitar and bass to get the real show going. Even with all the instruments beautifully blending “Love Is The Message,” something about the way Dayes is playing his drums makes it impossible to take your eyes off of him.
Not only is the music amazing, but the camera crew, Joseph Dunn and Jake Whitehouse do an awesome job of getting brilliant angles, and using perfect zooming techniques that make the performance come alive.
Dayes and Mist continue to lead the way, as the recording session at the Abby shapes up to be an extraordinary performance.
Dayes’ expressions while he’s playing the drums is what really puts the performance over the top—his passion and personality come through in the way that he plays.
This isn’t the first piece of music Yussef Dayes has been a part of, back in 2016 he and Kamaal Williams released the widely successful record “Black Focus” as duo Yussef Kamaal.
Two years later, he hooked up with these musicians to make “Love Is The Message.”
All four musicians rock out on their instruments every step of the way, pulling off a grand finale that is jam-packed with explosive sounds.
In the last two minutes of the 11-minute performance, the camera flashes back and forth from one musician to the next as they all play their hearts out. It’s easy to see why their song “Love Is The Message” got such a great response—it’s everything you could ask out of a live performance and more.
People on the internet went crazy for the live recording session at the world-famous Abby Road Studios, and the performance went viral reaching music lovers from all around the world.
The video of these four musicians live from the Abbey has been viewed over 5.2 million times, with 116,000 people who liked it.
On top of all the views and likes, over 4,400 people have also left comments for the talented group, with many who couldn’t help but be drawn to Yussef Dayes and his unique style.
