In this video, a teen decided to film his friend showing off his own guitar skills. This young man uses every inch of his acoustic guitar in this mesmerizing guitar tapping performance. His fingers move so fast you can barely see them—this kid is really good!

The video was originally posted back in 2013. As the clip begins, it’s clear that Jacobsz is just a young, unassuming teen with a unique talent. As Jacobsz gets ready to play his guitar, it seems like it’ll be a guitar song like any other. When he starts playing, it’s hard not to be blown away.
He strums the chords on the acoustic guitar while switching back and forth from tapping to strumming. He rapidly moves his fingers while playing a beautiful melody.
Right in the middle of the school classroom, he creates sounds that even some of the best guitar players couldn’t make.
Jacobsz is well beyond his years when it comes to guitar chops. He’s a natural and it really shows in this video. He taps the front and sides of the guitar, all while still playing perfect notes.
His next move shocks even the best guitar players. The young musician actually completely flips his guitar around—and keeps playing the whole time. Now that’s something you don’t see every day!
The tapping solo gets better and better as Jacobsz flips the guitar and starts playing a beat on the back of it.
With intense concentration, he flips the guitar and proceeds to tap an impressive solo right on the back of the acoustic guitar. It’s kind of like he’s playing the drums and guitar at the same time… which is very cool.
Social media went crazy over the tapping solo, and the video went viral on YouTube shortly after being posted.
Since it was posted, YouTube users have watched it over 5.4 million times!
Nearly everyone who saw the video was baffled, though especially experienced guitar players. Over 5,500 people commented on the viral sensation.
“This is very good. As a player of nearly 25 years, I can tell you why. It’s not even because of what he’s doing but HOW he’s doing it, meaning, he’s practiced enough where it’s consistent and fluid. And that’s all you can ask for in any playing, especially something that takes time to master, such as what you have heard. Great job. Kudos.” Said one guitar player on YouTube.

He finishes out the guitar tapping solo with a flurry of incredible beats and rhythms.
All the way through the solo, Jacobsz plays exceptional melodies. He was young in this video, but there’s no doubt he’s even better at the guitar now! As it turns out, he even has his own YouTube channel showcasing new performances as well.
