“O Holy Night” was originally written as a French Christmas poem in 1847 by Adolphe Adam.
It did not gain much popularity until it was translated and arranged a bit differently, into the lyrics we know today, by an American Minister John Sullivan Dwight.

Il Divo released a Christmas album, “The Christmas Collection,” and the first track is “O Holy Night.” They have been performing their beautiful rendition of the moving Christmas carol every holiday season since. Il Divo was performing at a beautiful venue in Mérida, Mexico when they recorded a live version of their rendition and it has left viewers with goosebumps.
Between the beautiful venue, soaring voices, and touching lyrics it is an awe inspiring performance to watch.
The four performers are dressed to the nines in their classic tuxedos as they each get to sing parts of the beautiful Christmas carol. Their solo moments are impressive but when they harmonize their performance goes to entirely different level.
