Some people are blessed with angelic voices that seem to be bestowed upon humanity by the heavens. Some of the people blessed with those voices go on to become world famous performers that inspire millions of humans with their soulful singing, like Michael Jackson or Mariah Carey.

Whitney Houston was another one of these great talents.

According to Wikipedia, Houston, a singer, actress, producer, and model, was named the most awarded female act of all time by the Guinness World Record in 2009.

She was one of the best-selling music artists of all-time and sold 200 million record worldwide. Houston was also the only artist to chart seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 songs.

Not only did she release seven studio albums and two soundtracks which all have diamond, multi-platinum, or gold certification, she also influenced many African American women to pursue a career in music.

One of those soundtracks was The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack album from the film of the same name which was released in 1992.

Half the album is songs by Houston and the other half is by other artists. The soundtrack was co-executive produced by Houston and Clive Davis and was the fifth best-selling album of all time.

It won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and was certified platinum 18 times. For the 25th anniversary release of the album, Legacy Recordings and Houston’s Estate released a special edition of the album.

I Wish You Love: More From the Bodyguard included never before released live recordings from The Bodyguard Tour, alternate versions of the original audio recordings, and a remix of “I’m Every Woman.”

One of the most famous songs on the album was “I Will Always Love You.” The song was originally written and recorded in 1973 by Dolly Parton.

Houston’s 1992 version of the song stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 14 weeks at number one and was one of the best selling singles of all time and us the best selling single by a woman of all time.

The song ended up re-entering the charts in 2012 after Houston’s death which made it the second single in history to reach the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 in separate chart runs.

The song is beloved by many, including a homeless woman who lives “all over downtown” Los Angeles and calls herself “Radio.” A video of Radio singing the song while walking through the streets and being filmed by a stranger recently went viral.

It features Radio singing gracefully while she navigates the city terrain while hitting all Houston’s famous high notes and bringing people joy.

“You got a very nice voice,” says the person filming radio.

Radio doesn’t even stop walking to say “thank you” she just keeps on singing to the end of the song.
