There are so many things that bring joy during the holidays. The cozy sweaters and scarves, the early nights by the fireside with loved ones, and the twinkle from the tree are just a few of the simple pleasures that come with this time of year.
Another, and quite possibly the best, is the holiday music! There are some folks that take their love of Christmas music to the next level, taking the passing of Halloween to mean that it’s time to blast “Jingle Bells” to their heart’s content. There’s something so wholesome and comforting about holiday tunes both new and old.
One of the coolest things about Christmas music is that it can be done in so many different ways. There’s something out there for everyone!
This group called Human Nature takes a pretty classic approach to their holiday cheer, and their version of “White Christmas” will transport you to a different time! Their Motown style is unmatched.
When the tenor takes over the melody about halfway through, his bright tone will bring a smile to your face for sure!
Irving Berlin wrote the tune in 1942, and the version that Bing Crosby recorded is the number one most sold single in the history of recording. That’s no small feat, folks. But it’s no wonder because it’s such a jolly song. It makes you feel like you’re gathered with your loved ones while the Christmas ham cooks in the oven.
Human Nature has been around, believe it or not, for 27 years. Their first album, Telling Everybody, came out all the way back in 1996! It’s made up of Toby Allen, Phil Burton, and brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney. They were just kids in high school when they formed the group, and now look how far they’ve come! What a crazy journey it must have been. Clearly, their staying power is evident the moment they open their mouths. Their voices blend so perfectly together.
It’s so great to see such chemistry in a singing group. These guys are pretty much the definition of good chemistry!
Hailing from Australia, this group has made quite the name for themselves here in the United States. For six years, they held a Las Vegas residency and played over 1300 shows. They’ve been praised by some of the Motown greats, including Smokey Robinson himself, and their show, “The Motown Show” was dubbed the number one Las Vegas show not to miss.
This performance of “White Christmas” is a perfect little taste of their talents, and it’s such a joy to watch as well as listen to! Their dashing red suits and perfect coordination make for a great performance.
