I don't know how this song could get better, but they found a way. Love every second of this. ❤️

Reina del Cid may as well spread her wings like an eagle and soar above other musicians with this fantastic cover of legendary rock band the Eagles’ beloved hit, “Hotel California”.

Rock aficionados know this song all too well for its haunting melody, deep lyrics, and stunning guitar solos.

Guitarists from amateur to pro levels will all tell you the same thing.

This song isn’t exactly easy to play from start to finish. That solo requires a lot of skill.

It is one of the most iconic songs ever recorded, even helping The Eagles’ Greatest Hits become the biggest-selling album in United States chart history

The melodious classic rock song is from 1976 but still sounds fresh over 40 years later.

It is a song that has been described as being “all about American decadence and burnout, too much money, corruption, drugs and arrogance; too little humility and heart.”

“Hotel California” has also been interpreted as a metaphor for hedonism, self-destruction, and greed in the music industry back in the late 1970s.

Reina del Cid takes that same song and just adds their own touch to it.

And you know it’s going to be laid back once you see them set up by a river. Literally beside the water.

“Such a lovely place…”

It’s not some fancy studio with expensive instruments and equipment either.

The band does have their instruments hooked up to amps but that’s about it.

Must have taken a long time to figure out if the water could potentially wash over those cables!

They keep the intro and the melody faithful to the original, with tastefully plucked strings emulating the solos that made the song such a beloved classic.

It’s easy to focus on the guitars but listen to the bass and the percussion masterfully carry the melody.

They played it perfect for near seven minutes!

Don Felder is the guitarist for the Eagles, and he wrote the tune for “Hotel California.”

The song, according to him, was inspired by those who drive into Los Angeles filled with high expectations but were later disappointed.

He says, “If you drive into LA at night you can just see this glow on the horizon of lights and the images that start running through your head of Hollywood and all the dreams that you have.”

These guys and girls are truly a talented bunch, playing a classic so wonderfully that it will have you hitting repeat just to enjoy the song.

And while there have been many covers of “Hotel California”, this one just sounds so clean, like that flowing river behind them.

And that iconic guitar solo? Smashed it!

It is so good this viewer had this to share,

“I used to be a rock writer and have interviewed Henley, Walsh and Frey. Just saw them 3 times this past year. I think they would be very proud of you guys. There is a reason most bands won’t cover Eagles. Just too tuff. You guys have a great vibe!!!!”

Yes they do!

So now you have a new artist to add to that playlist. A new artist to listen to as you drive down that long, dreary highway in search of a hotel.

Hit play below for a really cool rendition of a classic!
