Peyton Littleton instantly became famous after singing for the entire school during a talent show.
Judging by the looks of this guy, you may not expect him to blow someone’s mind during the 2018 Central Davidson High School Talent Show with his secret talent.
While the two guys were setting up the mic before his performance, the crowd in the gymnasium was too busy chatting.
It seemed like the ladies and gents were not interested and were not convinced that this guy’s performance would wow them.
While carrying his acoustic guitar, Littleton grabbed the mic stand and positioned it to the front.
Despite feeling nervous being in front of a large crowd seated on bleachers, he is eager and prepared to showcase his act and even encouraged everyone to sing along with him-if they were familiar with what he was about to sing.
The crowd was silenced as he started strumming his guitar and began singing the first few lines of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”
His classmates and schoolmates were stunned by his act. It sounded so romantic that everybody was so focused on his performance, and they couldn’t believe what they were hearing.
The song was perfect for his voice…
…and his casual and unassuming look somewhat resembled Ed Sheeran.
“Perfect” is a favorite by so many people because this romantic ballad is very relatable.
It readily became a massive hit and is now a much-requested song played at weddings and engagements. A lot would surely agree that it is a timeless love song.
It successfully hit number one in the UK Singles Chart and even in the Billboard Top 100. Ed Sheeran also had duets with famous singers like Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli.
No wonder the students of Central Davidson High School were able to sing in chorus with Littleton.
After several days of preparing for said talent show, Littleton showed confidence by taking center stage.
With the crowd, all eyes and ears, on his performance, he was sure that they loved it, and he became more confident in showcasing his talent for them.
They were captivated by his acoustic performance, which made it quite memorable. Everyone was delighted to hear his version of “Perfect” and his rendition was virtually…well, perfect.
Could he be singing the song with someone special in mind? Could they be in the crowd?
If ever he was, then that person’s heart must have been struck by cupid while staring at Littleton giving his best.
The more he strummed the guitar and sang the song from his heart, the more the audience enjoyed listening to the music.
They even showed their appreciation and support by taking out their phones and used them as light, signaling their praise for his superb performance.
After belting out the last few lines of the song,
“Baby, I’m dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect
I don’t deserve this
You look perfect tonight.”
The crowd loudly cheered for him, and some even gave a standing ovation. Just how happy he must have felt for overcoming shyness and for delivering the act quite nicely.
At the time of writing, his performance has more than 6 million views and 113,000 likes on YouTube.
