Fischer has been referred to as the “Queen of Schlager“.

This was during the Helene Fischer Show. Her back up band dressed to match the set, the fire adding a very intense impression for what was about to come.
As impressive as the quilts, bagpipes, and drums are, it is Helene’s voice that ensnares the senses.
That is an unbelievable instrument!
Fischer’s tone is golden, her control truly impressive as she plays with the notes of the classic Christian hymn.
You can tell that she has vast reserves of power just waiting and begging to be unleashed.
The song was published in 1779, with the words written in 1772 by the English poet and Anglican clergyman John Newton (1725–1807).
He had a troubled and unfortunate childhood.
It was during his rebellious years that a violent storm hit and almost sank the ship he was on, prompting the once stubborn Newton to study Theology, eventually becoming an Anglican priest before writing the timeless hymn.
The song is a powerful testament to a man who went through a literal life changing experience.
Helene knows this, slowly building the tempo, before finally unleashing her incredible singing voice for the audience to witness It’s a wonder those flames never shot up!
