This late ’90s fantasy novel series didn’t hesitate to capture hearts and minds globally when it was first released.
It was all-too-easy to get swept away in the lives of beloved Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The magical world that J.K. Rowling created, centered around Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was all too easy and convenient to escape to time and time again. In fact, who didn’t just want to get their invitation via owl, pack their bags and make their way towards platform nine and three-quarters?
Our letter from Hogwarts suspiciously still hasn’t arrived…but in the meantime, we wouldn’t mind attending Walden Grove Highschool in Arizona.
Their assemblies are really something, well, magical.
The highschool’s Performing Arts Crew, The Pac Dance Team, came together to deliver an ultra-entertaining Harry Potter themed homecoming assembly in 2018.
The result was a fascinatingly modern interpretation of a modern classic. They shared their performance with the internet, uploading the clip to their YouTube channel and it went viral. One watch and we can totally understand why.

It begins from his time spent beneath the staircase.
Suddenly, he’s packing his bags, meeting new friends and getting whisked away to the land of Hogwarts.
The video shares highlights from the world of wizardry, from wands to brooms, as an entire dance team puts on a very memorable display.
The impeccable dance was choreographed by coach Kristi Lopez, who truly delivers a homecoming never to be forgotten.
For exceptional production value, Lopez paired classic movie soundbites with modern hit music to create an experience all its own.
There’s nothing quite like watching Voldemort arrive with a posse to the beat of Niki Minaj’s “Chun Li.”
The creative assembly follows the story right down to Harry’s epic battle with Voldemort himself.
Since being uploaded to YouTube, this assembly has had over 14 million views and 600,000 likes!
It’s clear that the internet is buzzing with admiration for the innate creativity and talent of this show. One fan commented on YouTube:

This isn’t the first time that the Walden Grove PAC Dance Team has enjoyed a viral status on the internet.
They’ve performed multiple assemblies, all with incredible production value—including a Wizard of Oz assembly as well as a Marvel Comics assembly. In fact, they continue to deliver year after year, making homecoming the most wonderful time for everyone. Their videos have earned them millions of views and generated much buzz—even earning them a chance on America’s Got Talent!
Although they didn’t win on the popular talent show, it’s clear to see just how talented they are. Seemingly, every time they step up to perform, they bring the fire.
