It’s the season of giving and a whole lot of revelry.

A man based in Nashville, Tennessee has this kind of contagious energy that he’s not ashamed to spread. He’s done it before and he’ll definitely do it again.

Preston Leatherman is a man of many talents.

On his website, he describes himself as a director, producer, photographer, and traveler. But what’s not included in his packed resume is that he’s an “iPod Dancer”.

Leatherman is known for his impromptu dance routines in public along with the beat of our favorite tunes like “Wake Me Up (Before You Go Go)” and “Footloose”. But through all of these performances, he’s the only one who knows that it’s already party time.

He’s the only one who knows that the music is on.

His series “Dancing with an iPod in Public” is exactly what it says on the lid. He performs in public while listening to the songs through his earphones.

And while the bystanders and people around him are oblivious to what’s happening, in Leatherman’s perspective, it’s time to put on some dancing shows.

In his Christmas special, he paid tribute to a Christmas icon.

We’re not talking about Santa Claus or any of his reindeers. We’re talking about the singing sensation whose song signals our entry into the season.

Leatherman danced his way through Cool Springs Galleria and Green Hills Mall to the tune of Mariah Carey’s Christmas staple “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

The video starts with him lip-synching to the song.

And while singing and dancing to Carey’s song is something we’ve done before in different parts of our lives, Leatherman gets to do it in front of an unsuspecting audience.

After putting on a tacky holiday outfit, Leatherman kicked things into high gear as soon as the chorus belted out. Some people didn’t pay much attention to him, while others looked at him funny.

There are others, though, who smiled and laughed at his gleeful Christmas spirit.

Together with a team of “misfits”, they made sure that no place was safe.

Clothing racks became a stage. So do the mannequin stands, the waiting benches, and different storefronts.

For him, dancing like no one’s watching is one of the best ways to spread holiday cheer.

In the video’s description, Leatherman said: “You know what they say! The best way to spread Christmas glee is by dancing in public for all to see!”

People loved his creative revelry.

Commenters shared that some of them revisit the video every year, especially as the Christmas season rolls in. They also pointed out that even if the people around him might be confused, they definitely want to get their dancing shoes on.

Leatherman now spends his time as a creative, working with various award-winning artists. He also released some of his own songs and posted their music videos on his channel.
