Wedding ceremonies are usually serene and held exclusively with the bride and groom’s close friends and family members.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean having fun isn’t allowed, right? We’ve seen it many times on the internet, consider yourself lucky if you’ve actually seen one in person. People are now getting creative on wedding entourage, and bridesmaids or groomsmen doing a dance number.

With all the different wedding traditions out there, it’s good to know having “fun” is becoming a normal part of it.

Weddings in Samoa are strongly influenced by Christianity, with most people being religious.

Typically, a local pastor leads the ceremony, with lots of thanks to God.

A unique aspect is how the bride is brought to the groom, with him turning to thank her and God before proceeding together.

Family, known as “Aiga,” holds great importance in Samoan weddings. It includes not just immediate family but also extended relatives and those connected through marriage.

Before marrying, both families must agree, exchange gifts, and share the wedding costs.

Samoan weddings often involve many guests and may take place at the bride’s home or a large venue.

After the ceremony, family leaders exchange gifts and speeches.

The bride usually wears a dress from the groom’s family, later changing into a traditional Samoan dress, while the groom wears a traditional lavalava.

Samoan weddings are characterized by their generosity, with many guests, often including children.

These weddings feature numerous bridesmaids, a large cake, and traditional food. Entertainment includes dancing, with guests pinning money on the bride, and cultural performances.

It wasn’t a perfectly executed dance number but they obviously gave their all to entertain the crowd. Well, they definitely did, with most of the people holding their phones to record the moment.

While some guests got their hips and necks twisted just to have a better view of the groomsmen’s dance number.

In the latter part of their performance, they even got the bridesmaids happily involved in their dance.

The bride and groom were also seen in the background smiling from ear to ear while watching their friends enjoying their special day.
