This young man is called Tilman, and like many others on The Voice, he wants to make it big in the music industry.

But he doesn’t sing some modern pop tune or a predictable classic like many other contestants would.

Tilman sits and plays the piano on stage.

Then he plays and sings Jerry Lee Lewis’s smash hit “Great Balls of Fire.”

Everyone knows this song from way back in 1957.

It is one of those foundational rock and roll songs made even more famous today thanks to the movie Top Gun.

The problem with covering a classic that’s beloved by many is it will either be cringe or just mind-numbingly good.

It’s even more difficult when a kid does it.

Tilman channels his inner Jerry Lee Lewis though and just explodes with rock and roll energy.

Now this was way back in May of 2015, but since then, Tilman’s moment on the show has garnered an incredible 75,467,544 views.

A testament to this young man’s performance.

This song has become one of the world’s best-selling singles of all time.

A classic that requires a great voice with serious piano skills.

Tilman has the judges smiling and dancing immediately.

He’s definitely talented!

Green shirt, braces, teeny-bopper hair and all, Tilman brings you back to the era of milkshakes in diners and an open top Ford Thunderbird.

Leather jackets and screaming girls!

And with this teen hitting the keys and singing his heart out, the judges soon hit those buttons and spin around all while dancing.

Two of them even make an impromptu dance floor!

But Tilman isn’t even close to being done here.

The audience’s reaction seems to have energized the rocking teenare as his performance turns even more outstanding with him soon headbanging and hair-whipping.

“I laughed at love when I thought it was funny. But you came along and you moved me honey. I’ve changed my mind, this love is fine. Goodness gracious great balls of fire!”

If you remember Jerry Lee Lewis’ performances, you’ll know that he was quite the showman.

So Tilman makes sure he doesn’t disappoint with his rendition, nailing every key and every note to perfection.

He even turns it up a notch with his piano solo by bringing his foot all the way up on the piano for extra flair.

The judges can’t control themselves, dancing, applauding, and enjoying every minute of it.

It is very rare to see a teenager perform a classic like this, and everyone knew this.

What Tilman did was give them a full-on concert experience of the fifties and everybody had a blast!

Everyone’s on their feet!

He was just 14 here, and though he didn’t win that year, Tilman is still very much a musician and a performer.

Tilman tours with his band, called The Rolling Applzz.

So people can still witness the sensation of his performances, and hopefully, he still gets them dancing.
