We are the first generation in a very long time to experience a pandemic.

While not all of us have gotten or will get the virus, we cannot deny that COVID-19 has disrupted our lives. We were all forced to change our routines. Some of us had to quarantine for very long periods in order to avoid getting it.

Quarantines put our lives on pause

We find ourselves more isolated due to the pandemic. It is not an easy time. Many struggle because it brings a feeling of loneliness, worry, and anxiety.

We have all had to stay indoors for extended periods of time. For most of us, we have been deprived of face-to-face human contact. Saying it has been challenging can be an understatement.

Some find ways to occupy their time

During this time, many people start new hobbies. Some do it to occupy time while others use it as a coping tool. No matter the case, hobbies are great stress relievers.

Dancing is a great medicine versus stress

Some known benefits of dancing are weight management, increased muscular strength, and better coordination. We are definitely not surprised that dancing continues to rise in popularity during this pandemic. Anecdotes show that dancing is an easy hobby to accomplish as it requires no equipment nor a dedicated trainer.

Clive posts that they are doing a line dance. For those new to dancing, a line dance is:

“…is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows, all facing either each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time.”

They set their moves to a Dwight Yoakam song called “These Arms.” Country music lovers know who Dwight Yoakam is. His biggest hits include “Honky Tonk Man” and “Ain’t That Lonely Yet.”

More than the dance, we enjoy their bond

This couple enjoys dancing around in their living room. They are earnest in their attempt to entertain the viewers with their synchronized moves. They give everything they can for the audience.

What is cuter though is how, in between steps, they look at each other. Sometimes, one of them makes a mistake. When that happens, short eye contacts happen while the two giggle a bit.

These two have had a good and solid relationship and it shows!
