Because of the pandemic, everyone has been very conscious of social distancing and protecting ourselves from any instance that might expose us to the deadly virus. Another setback would be the added difficulty in buying much-needed grocery items such as bathroom essentials like toilet paper.
One of the most affected of these “new normal” adjustments are the elderly citizens.
Since they are more susceptible to the coronavirus, or any kind of sickness in general, senior citizens are strongly advised to stay at home and leave the grocery shopping to their family members.
One grandpa named David relies on his daughter on buying him his groceries and only picks up his supplies from her doorstep.
On one occasion, while he was at his daughter’s doorstep to get his supply of toilet paper, this gentleman busted some moves that absolutely left his family in entertainment. The residents inside the home talked to him via the intercom as they watched him through the lenses of the doorbell camera.
The residents said:
“You’re the DJ.”
To which David replied:
“Ok.”
The upbeat music started playing in the air and the groovy grandpa started his impromptu dance number while his family watched.
He started out giving a little shake and eventually swayed his shoulders to the music, clutching his cane as he danced. The residents inside the house were cheering him on as he moved happily to the music.
Simply shaking and swaying was not enough, though. This grandpa is in the mood for some dancing. He even waved his arms energetically!
With his lively moves and cheerful dancing, who would have guessed that this man is 80 years old and is living through a pandemic? He’s jolly disposition is something that really brightens up our day!
Of course, his cane would not be there for no reason. He had to use it as a prop, too!
He moved his arm back and forth while holding the cane to the ground, making him look like he’s pushing and pulling on a lever while dancing animatedly. This grandpa surely knows how to improvise with his dance props!
People inside the house shouted “Alright!” and could not help but laugh out loud, clearly entertained by the old man’s spontaneous dance number. Obviously, David is having so much fun as well, and hearing how much everyone is overjoyed by his performance made him even more motivated to give it his best shot.
And wait, he’s got more moves up his sleeve!
He swayed his hips even harder, well as hard as he could, and even swung his arms to add more energy to his dance. David also walked back and forth and totally ruled the doorway. He’s absolutely having a great time!
His family could not control their laughter as he pulled such a lively performance. They are just so happy to see their grandpa having a blast with his impromptu dance number. Go, David!
Well, isn’t this old man such a sweetheart?
While most people his age are probably frightened to relax because of the coronavirus outbreak, this gentleman still finds the heart to appreciate good music and giving his family something to be happy about. He’s definitely an inspiration, not to mention a marvelous dancer!
