Erika Lemay, 38, always wanted to fly.

As a child, she would often daydream about flying, and when she was three, she tied a balloon to her wrist and felt like a princess who could fly.

However, the balloon flew away.

That was when Erika knew she would find a way for her dreams to come true.

Erika discovered Aerial Arts, and it became her second home. She loved the sport, and she felt free as a bird when she was up there.

“The higher it was, the better I felt,” Lemay said to AGT Extreme.

Of course, she knew the dangers of her chosen field.

Then, Lemay got into an accident.

Her shoulder was dislocated and the doctors told her she needed surgeries and therapy.

Aside from that, they explained to her they were unsure if she could use her arm the same way again.

This accident changed her life, but this didn’t mean it would change her dream. Lemay is a strong woman, and she surpassed the physical limitations that were given to her.

She didn’t want that accident to be her last performance.

So she decided to get back up.

For two long years, she worked hard to get back in the best shape she could be. She wanted to perform again, even though people doubted her.

With her will, love, and passion, she was able to dance in the air again, and this time, she wanted everyone to see her do it.

America’s Got Talent – Extreme gave this opportunity to her. All three judges went outside for this breathtaking performance.

She told everyone what she would do and when Simon asked her how long Erika has been doing Aerial arts, she said:

“I’m 38 years old and have been doing aerial acrobats for 25 years and being an acrobat. I will do neural silks,” Erika explained.

Taking it up a notch, figuratively.

Everyone was curious about the stunt because of the preparation. Erika would be suspended 90 ft. in the air without any support.

Lemay chose the song ‘Alive’ by Sia, and when the balloons lit up, we see her grab the silk cloth.

Slowly, she started showing her majestic aerial skills.

Each movement was flawless and breathtaking.

Knowing that Lemay didn’t have any support also made the heart beat faster.

Her journey and the song are perfect together.

Lemay’s stunt was dangerous, but it was also mesmerizing. You could see just how she loves what she’s doing.

She was able to fulfill her dream.

Lemay was flying again, and beyond the trials that she went through, she’s up there again, doing what she loves.

After her performance, they went back to the stage and the judges gave their opinion.

“I was watching your performance at the edge of my seat, and I could not believe what I was watching. Ninety feet above the ground, without any support, and using just balloons, that was something to say how dangerous you are,” said judge Nikki.

“Do you know how many roofs I have used to jump off to be Mary Poppins? You have found your way uniquely,” said judge Travis.

Finally, it came to Simon:

“For one second, I thought that we would not see you again, and I think you deserve more from us,” said our favorite judge Simon.
