We all love watching kids perform on stage. Often, the younger the better. But with competition so fierce, even among the younger generation, dance instructors have to come up with extra creative routines. For the people sitting in the audience, that makes these dance numbers even more fun to watch.
That’s what happened when a group of young boys was slated to dance. But this wasn’t just any performance, it was one that left everyone in hysterics. After all, they had unexpected props, something you don’t typically see included in a dance routine.
The stage is dark
Fortunately, someone captured this incredible dance performance on video. To date, it’s been enjoyed by roughly 7,000 people. When the video starts, all you see is a dark stage with a white glow toward the front and the words “Starburst” hanging in neon colors at the back. As imagined, that leaves everyone in the dark (no pun intended) as to what these third-graders have planned.
The audience screams
Even before the boys appear, you hear screams from the crowd, although most of them sound like they’re coming from adoring young girls. Regardless, everyone’s excited. Then suddenly, you can see the outline of what appears to be several kids. What the heck? This dance instructor chose a perfect prop.
Yep…they’re glow sticks
What a genius idea. After all, glow sticks are cheap and they make for a great dance performance. Along with a few snickers, you hear a lot of “wow’s” and “ah’s”. But it’s what the boys do next that really gets people riled up…in a good way.
Eye of the tiger
Before long, all the dancers turn around, showing a completely different silhouette, again in glow sticks. And what better song to do this to? Eye of the Tiger, of course. Seeing the entire line of what appear as stick figures glowing in the dark is a riot. It’s no wonder the audience is laughing.
This is so great
With every move and jump, the boys begin to look more like glow-in-the-dark puppets on a string. Because you can’t see their feet, they appear to be dangling in the air. What a hoot. I don’t know who came up with this idea but they should receive some kind of award or something.
This is a must-see video
Throughout the three-plus minute video, you’ll find yourself giggling. Right when you’ve seen the funniest part, it gets even better. At one point, they switch over to a hip-hop song and boy do they deliver. I’ve seen a lot of funny dance videos online but this one definitely takes the cake.
Whether you’re having a bad day, feeling bored, or you simply love watching hysterical videos, this is one you don’t want to miss. And it doesn’t even matter they’re not perfectly synchronized…it’s that funny.
