Well this was a treat for the moms and dads in the audience that night.
Five young girls varying in ages took to the stage in striking pink outfits, dancing to “Sugar Sugar” by The Archies. These pretty dancers took their lessons from Summerlin Dance Academy.
Kids love to experiment and try out new skills. Parents are often surprised to find out that their little one can draw, sing, or dance. That’s when schools like Summerlin come into play.
Why not let the child polish their talent with experts?
Sure, it’s money out but that’s money well spent if it means building a child’s confidence and even opening up many possibilities for them. The dance academy enforces this belief by saying,
“Dance is a form of art, a form of expression for kids and adults alike. It is important that people become familiar with the impressive benefits of dancing, so as to incorporate it in their lifestyle as soon as possible. It is never too early to take dance lessons, and it is certainly never too late to do that. In this article, we are going to focus on the amazing advantages of dance lessons to kids. You will be thrilled to learn all about how your child can benefit from doing something as enjoyable as dancing!”
Just look at how these five girls made their way out in front of everyone dancing and strutting!
The confidence, the shuffling feet, and those bright smiles are all indicative of really effective lessons. And in the modern age, performances like these are immortalized on the internet.
So grab the chance to be famous!
Summerlin puts emphasis on coordination. Fluid, stable movements are vital to a child’s development, and what better way to teach coordination than through dancing?
By the looks of it, these young girls have the coordination part nailed perfectly.
This is a very laid back tap dance. One that allows viewers to follow the steps instead of the usual lightning fast versions we see.
Those are impressive alright, but these young dancers slow it down a bit, allowing others to focus on their movements.
“Sugar Sugar” was written by Jeff Barry and Andy Kim.
The Archies are credited because it was the cartoon band that actually recorded and performed the song.
The song stayed at number one for a month in 1969.
What’s really noticeable with these dancers is how they keep their chin up with big bright smiles on their faces the entire time.
It’s a really lovely look that suits them.
“Wow! You ladies were really good! Just a beautiful performance. One of my very favorite songs from the 1960’s! I really enjoyed this performance! Thank you!”
Went a viewer name Meg Shepard.
