When it comes to the type of dancing youâll encounter at the average wedding, Irish step dancing isnât always exactly what comes to mind.
This wedding was all about it.
Ten young girls came clogging out onto a wooden dance platform at an outdoor wedding to exuberantly steal the show with a remarkable Irish step performance.
Not only were the bride and groom impressed, but so were a noteworthy amount of people on the internet, as proven when their video went viral.

The dancers are students at the Hooley School of Irish Dance and they were there to show their appreciation.
It was their teacherâs wedding.
Gretchen (the bride), is a T.C.R.G. at Hooley who trains and inspires countless students in the art of Irish step dancing. T.C.R.G., or Gaelic TeagascĂłir ChoimisiĂșin le Rinci Gaelacha, means a âcertified Irish dance teacher.â
Gretchen and her soon-to-be husband stand in the background and watch the girls put their skills to the test.
At the beginning of the video, two girls take to the dance floor and begin dancing their hearts out.
Theyâre proudly showing their skills.

Two more dancers suddenly join in.
Now thereâs four of them and the quartet proceed to break it down.

People canât help but cheer.
Wedding guests cheer in enthusiasm as the four Irish step dancers kick their legs and tap their feet, all while maintaining still upper bodies.
Not only that, but the girls also manage to keep huge smiles on their faces the entire time.

Irish step dance is typically done by keeping a stiff upper body while your legs kick with rapid precision and these girls have it down.
Just when you thought it couldnât get any better, six more dancers hit the dance floor.
With 10 dancers, the real show begins.

With âOne Footâ by WALK THE MOON playing through the speakers, the dancers all stay perfectly on cue with each other and the music.
Theyâre moving as one.

They maneuver around the dance floor with grace, continually shifting formations while rotating into different positions.
This takes some serious stamina.
The dance team never stops moving throughout the entire performance.

Then, the bride joins them.
She kicks off her shoes and hops onto the dance floor already dancing.
After that, the flower girl also comes into the mix shoeless as well. Still wearing their formal dresses, the bride and flower girl join hands mid-dance and start cutting a rug.

The other dancers cheer them on in the background until the flower girl runs off-screen and the other dancers start dancing behind the bride.
As if this werenât cool enough, thereâs still one awesome surprise in the video.
The grand finale involves the groom.
The bride drags her groom onto the floor and they share a dance.

With the dancers going full speed, the bride brings her new husband front and center for some twirls before he dips her and gives her a big fat kiss. Itâs the perfect start to a marriage.
People on the internet couldnât get enough of the wonderful wedding performance, and the students from the Hooley School of Irish Dance really nailed this routine.
