They say Christmas is relly for kids.
During the holidays, children often perform at Christmas events by either singing or dancing. Sometimes both.
While most kids just go with the flow, some are born to stand out among the rest.
Just take this sassy and talented little girl as an example.
A little girl named Lucy Cardillo from New Jersey has proven she’s a natural entertainer.
Lucy, who goes to Resurrection Catholic School in Cherry Hill, NJ, showcased her incredible talent during a Christmas choir performance at her elementary school in 2017.
As part of the holiday recital, the whole class sang “Blitzen’s Boogie,” but Lucy added her special touch that captured the hearts of millions.
Lucy’s mom, Kelly Cardillo, recorded the entire performance, and when she shared it on Facebook, the video went viral.
The original post got over 20 million views and hundreds of thousands of reactions and shares.
Even though the original video is no longer available, copies can still be found on other streaming sites, keeping Lucy’s fantastic performance alive.
We owe a big thank you to Kelly Cardillo for capturing and sharing her daughter’s outstanding performance with the world.
Lucy is a small kid with a huge personality.
She lit up the stage with her dance routine.
In a bright red dress and a “JoJo Siwa” bow in her hair, Lucy stood out from her classmates whose moves were more…. subdued.
Her energetic dance moves and confident singing made the performance a hit.
The song “Blitzen’s Boogie” is about Santa’s reindeer, with a special focus on Blitzen.
Lucy’s playful and dramatic movements added a unique flair to the song, earning cheers and whoops from the audience.
With Lucy’s family background in performance—her older brother in theater, her mom a dance major, and her dad a classical musician—it’s no surprise that Lucy is a star.
Interestingly, Lucy’s performance almost didn’t happen due to a conflicting holiday party organized by her jazz ensemble.
However, she managed to attend both events.
Kelly Cardillo mentioned that Lucy’s previous school had asked her to tone down her performance enthusiasm, making her appreciate the positive reaction from Lucy’s current school.
Describing Lucy, her mom said, “She’s a natural performer. She’s very comfortable being on stage.”
Lucy’s idol, JoJo Siwa, also noticed her and invited Lucy and her family to Hollywood.
Lucy, despite being a bit shy offstage, expressed her love for performing and the fun she had on stage.
Lucy dreams of becoming a dancer like JoJo Siwa when she grows up.
With her incredible talent, her future looks bright, and we wish her all the best!
The video of her performance sparked positive comments from online viewers.
“There’s always that special person that immediately lightens up a whole room. Amazing. I have a new xmas favorite now. Blitzen’s boogie,” wrote one YouTube user.
“Absolutely a star. She can move and got rhythm with her moves. You go gurl,” another commented.
“She reminds me of Cameron Diaz.. oh Dear… You’re so adorable,” wrote by another amused viewer.
