How many times have you just put your favorite music on when you were down and instantly felt better?

How many breakups have you accompanied with music? How many times have you felt you needed to hear a nice song to calm you down when you were upset or stressed?

Chances are, the times are countless.

But that’s okay. That’s not just what works for you, and it certainly wasn’t a coincidence.

You see, music has healing power.

“Singing, drumming, and playing instruments, are some of the oldest healing techniques known to humanity,” experts explain.

Indeed, research shows that “the neurochemical processes underlying music found that music uses the same reward pathways as food, drugs,” and other pleasures.

So, the next time you feel the urge to sing while taking a bath or doing housework, just don’t judge how good or bad you sound, but go for it.

Let the music heal you. And if you’re gonna invite some music into your life, you’ll want to hear this.

This girl can sing.

A street performer has been helping others receive the wonderful healing powers of music by inviting pedestrians to sing with him.

He just takes his guitar and finds a nice spot on the street, asking passers-by to sing with him for free.

Amazingly, people sometimes sing with him.

There’s no need for someone to be a talented singer, they just need to get out of their comfort zone and try something new.

“I just noticed how much [singing] heals and inspires, and that’s what I want to do,” Reginald Guillome, aka Guitaro5000, says.

So, one day, as he was standing there in the streets of New York City, a young girl passed by and he encouraged her to sing with him.

The offer caught her off guard.

She was not really into the idea. She said she didn’t want to embarrass herself.

But Guillome explained that this was all about having fun and expressing oneself. This made her reconsider.

He told her the experience would help her get out of her comfort zone.

He explained that once she’d get out of this, she’d be a completely different person, and, indeed, she admitted she doesn’t like comfort zones.

That’s when he got her.

Indeed, singing with Guillome was a great idea. The two spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out what song would be best for her to sing.

She even handed him her phone so he could check out her playlist and find a song he could play on his guitar.

Finally, they decided on Adele.

“Set Fire to the Rain” would be a good choice. And they were right.

Once Kiora started singing, it was clear that the girl possesses an amazing voice.

She’s pure talent.

Guillome was excited, too.

He kept reassuring her that she was “doing great” and kept encouraging her throughout the song, while she effortlessly impressed the crowd that started gathering around them.

The video has gone viral with almost 4 million views, and Kiora has been praised in the comment section for her beautiful voice.

“This young lady sounded so good, she needs a record deal immediately, beautiful raw talent!” someone pointed out.
