Audrey is a young girl with a serious and rare condition called Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Her condition is untreatable and people who have it have to undergo blood transfusions, they have to follow steroid treatment, or need a transplant.

All of the above have serious side effects and, unfortunately, no permanent results. Audrey herself, by the age of six, had already undergone 20 blood transfusions, when half of the DBA patients have to undergo transfusions every three to five weeks.
In 2013, Audrey’s dad, Scott Nethery, created a YouTube channel where he uploaded videos of his daughter dancing to her favorite songs.
Audrey has always loved to dance. She couldn’t resist a good old Zumba routine when upbeat songs played. So, her parents decided that this love for dancing could be used to create something big and important.

Audrey’s dances, apart from making millions of people smile, were used to raise awareness of DBA and raise funds for the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation.
The girl is now 11 years old and her dad still keeps uploading videos of her day-to-day life. Although Audrey now goes to school and likes playing video games, this doesn’t mean she has forgotten about her passion. Dancing is still one of her favorite hobbies and this is also obvious in her latest videos.
Below, you can watch one of the girl’s viral videos that was uploaded back in 2017.
Audrey’s parents recorded her dancing to Justin Bieber’s “Baby baby”, which was one of her favorite songs back then.
The video was recorded in the family’s house and, more specifically, in the living room. Audrey is wearing casual clothes and she’s ready to rock and roll!
When the song starts playing, the little girl immediately feels the rhythm and starts dancing like nobody’s watching- or rather, like she’s performing on stage and millions of fans are watching her.
After all, as she said during an interview with her mom, she was not “any 9-year-old”, she was “an awesome 9-year-old”.
So, the song keeps playing and Audrey keeps dancing like a superstar. Her moves are decisive and flawless, nothing that you’d expect a 6-year-old to have mastered.
Apart from that, she also knows the lyrics of the song, and, even if at times she can’t both sing and dance at the same time, she still tries to sing at least part of it.
She’s really the cutest. She has this piercing look in her eyes that practically leaves no doubt about her star quality. She knows exactly what she’s doing and she couldn’t be bolder.
At some point, the family cat passes by, and Audrey doesn’t miss the chance to hold her in her arms and sing to her. What a patient cat, really.
But, apart from the star of the video, there’s also someone else who catches the viewer’s attention: the cute dog in the background who doesn’t even blink throughout the girl’s performance.
Audrey dances to the whole song and the final moves are just as good as the rest of the choreography. The way she moves at the end of the song is really touching and it just makes the viewer want to see more of her. She’s a rockstar!
