Life has not hindered Claire Crosby from singing and sharing her songs through social media, despite everything going on in the world.
On their Youtube channel, The Crosbys, they posted a video of Claire’s rendition of “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”.
Claire’s voice has captured many hearts.
She’s been singing since she was 3.
Back in 2014, her father, Dave Crosby, sang the same lullaby and was shocked when Claire sang it back to him. She knew all the words and hit the right notes.
Claire was 18 months old at that time.
This may already be expected since she comes from a musical family. Since then, they always support Claire and her love for singing.
Their Youtube channel, “The Crosbys”, has more than 4 million subscribers already and is still growing.
The Little Mermaid started it all.
When Claire was three years old, she fell in love with The Little Mermaid, an animated movie by Disney.
Her dad decided to record Claire singing the film’s hit song “Part Of Your World” back in his home studio. And was later shared on Social Media.
Dave did not expect it to have such a major impact on people as the video spread like wildfire and went viral.
Then, it was on.
That was how Claire captured the hearts of many people on a global scale.
Since then, Claire and her dad have covered popular Disney songs like “You’ve Got a Friend In Me”.
A cover hit more which has racked up over 38 million views since it was posted in 2017.
She was four years old in that video.
Her innocence and facial expression puts more emphasis on every word.
That’s what makes her unique and special.
Claire and her dad had been invited as guests on some shows.
She even sang on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
But when the pandemic hit, it did not stop them from sharing positivity through music and Social Media. It has been one of the ways to cope with the epidemic.
Claire’s “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” cover video was posted just about the same time that countries closed their borders and placed the world at pause.
There’s light even in darkness.
The video was captured in breathtaking scenery with mountains, trees, and rivers in the background.
Claire’s voice, together with the powerful meaning of the lyrics, helps spread inspiration and hope during the lockdown.
“I Know That My Redeemer Lives” is a worship song written by Samuel Medley in 1775. The music was added by Lewis Edwards and then became part of the Hymnal songs.
