Originally titled “In Other Words,” the popular song “Fly Me To The Moon” was written in 1954 and has been through many versions before Frank Sinatra included it on his 1964 album It Might as Well Be Swing.
Still, some not-so-common information is that the hit song was played on a Sony TC-50 portable cassette player on the Apollo 10 mission which orbited the moon! It was also played on the Apollo 11 before the first landing on the moon. Let’s just say that the lyrics eventually earned their reputation!
Not only is the tune catchy, but it’s also popular among the children of the new generation.
Miumiu is six years old and has been playing the guitar since she was three. The lovely little girl is from China and her real name is Zhou Zhaoyan. Since she’s started playing online, she’s become quite a sensation. Miumiu’s got 233,000 YouTube subscribers and 80,300 people follow her on Instagram. This video of her singing and playing the guitar has been forwarded more than a million times in just a month!
Her entire performance is incredibly cute.
Even so, let’s pause for a moment just to comment on her guitar playing. This young lady’s has some impressive skills for a six-year-old child!
Obviously, she’s been practicing a lot.
What’s more obvious is that Miumiu enjoys music. Her father is a guitar teacher, and he has said that he spends all of his free time helping his daughter practice. We have to congratulate both of them, because the results are obvious!
With this one simple video, Miumiu has cured people’s anxiety across the world.
The popularity of Miumiu’s videos peaked in March during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We were all locked in our houses and the overall situation was very stressful. For her part, Miumiu used the time to practice guitar five to six hours every day. Musicians from around the world have been motivated by her videos to join her performances online.
As it turns out, an Italian musician named Bruno Zuchetti went one step further and sent an email to Miumiu’s mother. He attached an edited video of him and three other famous Italian musicians accompanying the little girl’s performance. Isn’t it fantastic how music can bring us all closer in times of need?
The fact that one simple song could bring together two completely different generations from two countries is so inspirational.
Since it was posted, more than 307,000 people have already liked the video and the comments section is full of praise.
People love this talented child, and we’re predicting an interesting future for her. She has her whole life ahead of her, full of endless possibilities. The most important thing is that she enjoys herself and the beauty of childhood, and everything else will fall in its place when the time is right. We loved her performance, and so did thousands of people—that’s an impressive achievement at the age of six!
