All children have dreams. Sometimes, it’s to become a doctor, and sometimes, it’s to sing on stage with their favorite singer. 12-year-old Victoria just happens to be a huge Pink fan. When she found out she was going to see Pink perform live, she couldn’t hold back her excitement.

Victoria is a singer herself, and she has always dreamed of singing with Pink.

She knew that this was her chance, so she started posting on social media, hoping to get the singer’s attention.

Victoria is self-taught. She plays the piano and the guitar and also sings and writes her own music. She’s been involved with music since she was a young girl, and she plans on making it a part of her future, too.

She posted a video on Twitter.

The caption said:

“Hey @Pink, please let me sing on stage with you in #Vancouver May 12. I’ll be ready! – Victoria (age 12). Share this video and tag #vicandpink to make my dream come true.”

She also came up with a hashtag, #vicandpink, that she used to post and gain attention. She hoped Pink would see her posts and invite her to see with her. She wasn’t the only one who was hoping she could perform with her idol. Her brothers even got in on it.

Victoria shared a post they sent her with the star.

She said:

“My 3 brothers sent me this message & I wanted to share it with you @Pink. Can’t wait for your concert May12 in #Vancouver. #familyfirst #VicAndPink #brothersisterlove #BeautifulTraumaWorldTour #JustDoIt @Nike”

She continued to post on Pink’s social media pages, as well. She said:

“I’m twelve years old, and when you come here, I really want to sing at your concert. And I promise I’ll be ready.”

She appealed to everyone to help her convince Pink to let her sing on stage.

She even tweeted to the prime minister and the Jeff O’Neil Show. She tweeted:

“Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau, I am a bilingual Canadian who is 12yo and I dream of singing with #Pink #Vancouver the 12 May. Help me please to make my #vicandpink #dreamcometrue”

While the prime minister didn’t reply, she did hear back from Jeff O’Neil.

She also caught the attention of other stars, like Sarah Mclaughlin. Sarah tweeted to Pink, too. She posted:

“Hey @Pink, you have to check out 12yr old @vicanthonymusic. She really wants to sing with you May 12th in #Vancouver. Make her #dreamcometrue. #VicAndPink #BeautifulTraumaWorldTour”

Victoria didn’t hear back from Pink, and she was a little disappointed. She was still excited to see her in concert. Then, something amazing happened. During the show, Pink walked over to Victoria. She said to her:

“Are you who I read about on the news? Do you want to come to sing something?”

Victoria was ecstatic her dream was coming true. All her hard work had paid off. Pink was really asking her to sing. Pink was clearly impressed by her performance, too. She encouraged the girl to continue singing and following her dreams.

Victoria is now a star.

Everyone who saw her performance knows she has a lot of talent and is going to be famous herself one day. Victoria still has some big plans for her music career. But for now, she is just happy to have had the chance to sing with her favorite singer. She said:

“What I’m taking away from this, and what everyone should take away, is that when you want something, like nothing is impossible. You can always achieve something; [it] is just about the amount of effort you put in.”

Hopefully, Victoria continues to work hard and focus on her music career. Someday, she may be the star, and little girls all over the world will be dreaming of performing with her on stage. If you want to keep up with her career, check out Victoria’s YouTube channel.
