No one, and I mean nobody, was expecting an 11-year-old to explode with such an incredible voice like that.
The Voice, and The Voice Kids, allow people of all ages and backgrounds to come on stage and sing in the hopes of winning a judge and coach who will take them to the next level.
Now it’s not unusual for kids to blow the judges away, but 11-year-old Georgia had the judges and audience stunned from the get-go.
Her audition currently has 3.5M views and 90k likes!
Georgia’s unbelievable take on “The House of The Rising Sun” sung by The Animals will have you wondering just how on earth a little girl can sing like that.
The second she starts singing, jaws dropped and chairs spun.
Just a few lines of “The House of the Rising Sun” had all of the coaches turning around in the hopes of coaching this talented young girl.
Listen to Georgia. Just listen!
Her family members backstage were crying with joy as the judges spun and the audience cheered their little one.
Georgia’s powerful, lovely voice commands the stage resulting in complete and utter shock on all of the coaches’ faces.
That is raw talent. Sheer talent.
At first glance, you would suspect that Georgia Balke was nervous.
She was clutching the microphone, her hair down, and not a single expression on her innocent face. Almost as if she was second guessing herself.
But the moment she opens her mouth, doubts are dispelled and the nerves are turned into powerful notes.
Her younger brother couldn’t contain his emotions, wiping his eyes as his big sister conquered the stage and the hearts of the judges.
Even some members of her audience were crying!
Not exactly a song an 11-year-old would choose to sing live either.
“The House of The Rising Sun” tells the story of a person in New Orleans who went the wrong direction in life.
There are many renditions and the song’s history remains in question.
The most successful version released commercially was by British rock band The Animals.
Rolling Stone actually included the Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun” on their list of the greatest songs of all time.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame declared the 1964 hit as one of the songs that helped shaped rock and roll.
The song was even granted a Grammy Hall of Fame award in 1999.
It’s the version that stuck in the heads of many, and apparently, even young Georgia here.
Were you expecting her to sing a ballad like a diva or do one of those famous pop songs?
We are so glad she didn’t.
And the judges obviously felt the same way as Georgia hits her stride and finishes on a literal high note.
That’s a standing ovation for a young girl in denim overalls.
Look at young Georgia stunned at the response she’s getting. She’s about to cry!
Just watch and marvel at this young lady’s audition below!
