When we talk about celebrity couples, we often see scandals.

But through all of these crazy scandals, there are celebrity couples who stand the test of time.
They become a shining example that famous people can enjoy healthy relationships too.
One couple who have been together for a long time is Gary Sinise and Moira Harris.
Like Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn, and Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford, Gary Sinise and Moira Harris enjoy a long-standing relationship.

The two of them have been married for over 40 years.
That’s impressive especially when one considers the pitfalls and challenges of being a celebrity.
Gary Sinise was born in Blue Island, Illinois.
At a young age, however, he discovered his passion for acting through a serendipitous encounter.
Sinise and his friends auditioned for a local production of “West Side Story” as a joke.
In the end, it was the moment that made Sinise fall in love with acting.

He said in an interview with Parade that he’s one of the lucky ones who discovered his passion at a very young age.
He then co-founded the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago. He was only 18 at that time.
He eventually moved to Los Angeles to start his Hollywood career.
His first exposure to Hollywood wasn’t as an actor, though. He directed some episodes of the series “Crime Story” and the movie “Miles from Home”.

His debut as an actor came in 1992 when he joined the cast of “A Midnight Clear” and when he played George Milton in the movie adaptation of the novel “Of Mice and Men”.

His break, however, came in 1994 when he starred as “Lieutenant Dan” in Forrest Gump.
He then continued to work with Tom Hanks in Apollo 13 and The Green Mile
But through his career, one thing remained constant.
Sinise and Harris have been together since 1976.
They got married in 1981, and it was still a decade or so before Sinise made his name in Hollywood.

The couple met while Harris was in college.
Just like Sinise, Harris is a talented actress.
She appeared alongside his husband in “Of Mice and Men” and appeared on TV shows like “The Equalizer” and “Karen Sisco”.

The couple has three children, all of whom were exposed, in one way or another, to the couple’s passion – theater.
In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, Harris shared their secret.
She said that it was all because they “work at it together.”
The couple also shared that they establish a healthy boundary between work and home.

“A sense of humor.” Sinise, meanwhile, explains the secret of their marriage from his perspective.
“My wife’s a loving, funny, Irish-spirited person, and I’m still surprised at some of the things she says. She makes me laugh every day.”
