Everyone has a dream of meeting his or her favorite personalities someday, and it’s an even greater dream to be invited to the same stage as them.

A few people have been lucky enough to stand beside their celebrity idol, shake hands with them and get their autograph. Some people, on the other hand, were even luckier—they got to play a song and share a moment alongside their favorite musician or band.

That was what happened to this Gary Clark Jr. fan who was celebrating his 18th birthday.

The man in this video has to be one of the luckiest fans in the world.

Renowned blues musician Gary Clark Jr. had a concert held last year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Clark Jr.’s live concert had The Met filled with a large crowd.

The musician sang for a two-and-a-half-hours and during that whole time, a big fan in front of the stage was holding up a sign.

The sign explained that it was his 18th birthday and he should be invited up onstage to play a tune with him.

A few moments later, his favorite blues musician invited him onstage. As the young man climbed up to them, the energetic Jeff ran all over the stage and shared his enthusiasm with everyone. It wasn’t long after that he began shaking the band members’ hands one by one.

Clark Jr. was kind enough to grant the young man’s birthday wish.

He also held up his sign in front of everyone and explained to the crowd how he had it held up the whole time during the performance. The band helped Jeff set his guitar up, and he then proceeded to discuss what song they would perform.

Both of them decided to play Robert Petway’s “Catfish Blues.”

The hype was on as they finally picked their song.

As they were about to start, the crowd cheered loudly and started chanting to them. Clark Jr. kicked off the intro while Jeff followed his lead as if he were trying to handle the pressure of being with him on the same stage. After a while, Jeff was able to find his way to synchronize with Clark Jr.’s playing.

He already managed to hold his own and kept performing through the song’s epic solos.

He impressed the blues musician very well as he busted numerous intricate riffs perfectly like a boss.

With his skills, you could confuse him as one of the band’s members, or believe that the whole scenario was staged! Still, as hard as it is to believe, everything that unfolded on stage that night was spontaneous and unexpected.

His performance ended with Clark Jr. and his audience fully impressed—and Jeff was able to walk away from that stage satisfied as his birthday wish came true.

I’m pretty sure he wasn’t able to sleep that night because of the excitement. It was one awesome night he could never forget.
