When Gabriella Laberge took the stage with her violin for the French version of “The Voice,” the audience wasn’t sure what they were going to hear. The judges listened as she started to play the instrument, but they were just as confused. That was about to change because Laberge was about to impress everyone with her amazing performance.

She sang the song “The Scientist” by Coldplay, but she put her own original spin on it.

She also played the violin while singing. She has been playing the violin since she was just 6 years old, and she is not new to the stage. She has been playing and performing in front of crowds for years. “The Voice France” was her biggest performance yet.

Laberge is originally from Quebec, and she often writes her own music.

She did mention that it wasn’t easy for her to learn English and took her four years to master it and to be able to write and sing English songs. As she played the violin and sang, the audience fell in love with her performance. The judges also loved it, and one by one, they turned their chairs around to face her.

The lyrics to the song are:

“Come up to meet you, tell you I’m sorry

You don’t know how lovely you are

I had to find you, tell you I need you

Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions

Oh, let’s go back to the start

Running in circles, coming up tails

Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy

It’s such a shame for us to part

Nobody said it was easy

No one ever said it would be this hard

Oh, take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures

Pulling the puzzles apart

Questions of science, science, and progress

Do not speak as loud as my heart

But tell me you love me, come back and haunt me

Oh and I rush to the start

Running in circles, chasing our tails

Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy

Oh, it’s such a shame for us to part

Nobody said it was easy

No one ever said it would be so hard

I’m going back to the start

Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh

Ah ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh”

She was thrilled to see them all turn around for her and couldn’t help but jump up and down.

Her audition video has gotten over 7 million views. She later talked about the performance and the judges’ reactions, saying:

“I wasn’t expecting that kind of reaction! It’s crazy because I thought it was only in France.” The full video of the audition is below:

She also went on to perform the song “Stressed Out” by Twenty-One Pilots, which also wowed the judges and the audience.

She added:

“It spread all over the world and I just can’t believe it.”

Laberge already had a large fan following in Quebec, but she was surprised to see that people all over the world are loving her music, as well.

Her audition video has received a lot of compliments from people who are just now hearing her amazing voice. Some of them include:

Alx GT said:

Laberge is clearly a very talented musician.

Few people can play an instrument or sing, but she can do both wonderfully. She is already a star in her own country, but after her amazing performance on “The Voice France,” she is reaching new fans all over the world.

Her version of Julien Clerc’s “Fais-moi Une Place (Make Me a Place)” was equally as impressive as her other performances and really showed off her voice.

She still has a lot to give.

She has a lot to offer and while she has already proved that she has what it takes to wow an audience, she will get the chance to continue to release new albums and even go on tour all over the world.
