Ah, weddings. Beautiful, magical, and filled with emotions. While the solemn ceremony has guests dabbing at their eyes and sniffling, the after party presents a different story. The wedding reception is where family, friends, and other guests finally let loose after crying buckets of tears during the formalities. It’s where the feasting, singing, and dancing happen, and it’s also where the wedding entourage gets creative, and where brides and grooms pull off surprise after surprise for one another.
Groom-to-be Sean Rajaee had something extraordinary in mind for Ariana, his fiancee.
He was formulating a clever plan while the wedding preparations were underway. Finally, he decided on a choreographed dance sequence with Persian music, Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Bruno Mars, and the Backstreet Boys (Ariana’s favorite band!) for his background music.
Of course this meant he needed the help of his groomsmen. Situated all over the US, they had to pull off rehearsals via video chat.
Sean even decided to cancel his stag party just so they could all get together and practice! Now that’s a keeper.
When the big day finally arrived, Sean and his friends were more than ready. At the after party, the newlyweds and their guests gathered at the dance floor, not knowing what to expect.
Then the music started.
As “Crazy In Love” by Beyonce blared over the speakers, Sean and his groomsmen began doing their thing. This caused everyone to scream and cheer, including the shocked bride who couldn’t believe her husband actually had a surprise performance planned. The group even got creative using props!
The groom’s sister was also in disbelief that her brother actually pulled such a stunt off. She did confirm that this wasn’t completely out of character for her brother.
“My brother is an orthopedic surgeon. It’s interesting because a lot of people that know him from the medical world would be like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ But he’s a fun, funny kind of guy. The fact that he got all the groomsmen to do it and to go along with it was crazy. A lot of them were coming from a long distance.”
It was quite admirable of his groomsmen to fully support Sean with this idea, especially knowing some of them needed a lot of convincing to dance. What a solid friendship! While it was already a fun party right from the start, Sean’s surprise dance number made it even more exciting. It was all sorts of delightful and entertaining, and it had his wife beaming and clapping the whole time.
What a great inspiration for other grooms and brides-to-be!
We can only imagine how incredible the photos and videos are.
