It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that animals respond to music. If we humans enjoy music, then what more our furry friends who are so pure, innocent and full of love?
There are a lot of stories and videos online of animals reacting to music. They enjoy a good tune just their owners. One such dog is Bailey. This is one Golden Retriever who knows good music!
Drew Cole uploaded the video to his channel where the camera is focused on Bailey.
Must be one of those laid back days. What better way to spend it than with your best friend who appreciates your playing? Drew is a guitarist. A really good one too. In fact, you probably know him as a contestant on The Voice.
He is a soulful vocalist with varied influences spanning from The Beatles to Led Zeppelin and The Black Crowes. He first picked up the guitar at the age of eleven and since then has pursued his passion for music.
Drew is based in Los Angeles but is from Ridgefield, Connecticut. His genre is “soul infused rock/pop” and already has a number of hits and albums which are quite enjoyable. It’s a style that suits a good night out.
His number one fan? Bailey, who gets to listen first and stamp it with a paw of approval.
And there’s plenty of other fans as well with this video getting over 14.6 million views.
Here, Drew is strumming a very funky pattern of chords. The kind where you would bop your head even though it has no words yet. Well guess what Bailey is doing? Yup. Bopping that golden crowned head to the guitar!
This doggo is all smiles too!
That is until Drew abruptly stops his playing to which Bailey stops bopping her head. She even stops smiling and looks at Drew in wonder. What gives, human?
Well Drew loves Bailey so he starts playing again. And as if on automatic, Bailey breaks into a smile and starts bopping her head again. She really does love a good jam!
But her master can’t help himself. Drew suddenly stops playing again, eliciting the same response from Bailey. She is so cute. It looks sort of like a frown.
A disapproving, disappointed look that would probably work if she were a judge for The Voice.
Even viewers on his channel think so,
“Without a doubt that dog likes the sounds. It doesn’t know what music is, but it definitely likes those sounds, it’s facial expression when it stops is undoubtedly: “Hey! Where did the noises go?!” It’s even bopping its head slightly.“
says one and another had a brilliant idea by saying,
“This video should be used as therapy for people who suffer from depression: it is an injection of good mood! Awesome!”
Have to agree with that one. Bailey’s bop to the beat is too cute and her reactions are priceless.
Sadly, Bailey passed away last year according to Drew himself.
“Hey everyone, sad news. Bailey passed away peacefully this morning. She’s in doggy heaven now. She had a great life, thank you all for being part of it with me. Bailey will always love you all!!!”
Thank you for bringing us those smiles, Bailey! Know that you were and still are loved!
