For those who don’t know, “Crazy” is the debut single by American soul duo Gnarls Barkley.

This song topped the charts in many countries and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 list. It is pretty obvious why many artists want to cover this catchy and popular track, and funk band Scary Pockets had that same idea! They teamed up with Danielle DeAndrea to do their own version of “Crazy,” and the results were so awesome.

Maybe they’re crazy and maybe they’re having a really good time.

The video begins with DeAndrea singing an acapella and then the instruments join in. Her voice blends perfectly with the song perfectly and she moves and grooves in a way that makes you want to dance along.

Scary Pockets band members and DeAndrea are all having their own party, enjoying the lyrics and screaming their hearts out on the “crazy” part of the song. This performance makes you want to stop and join them.

The entire thing is a tribute to the spirit of funk music.

This version of the song is original—a little bit different, but still similar enough to the original. They didn’t experiment too much, but they did just enough to it to make the song totally their own. DeAndrea sings perfectly and the band plays their instruments just as well.

The singer is absolutely entertaining.

She has a great voice and she uses the street they’re on to the fullest. She moves around, dances and motivates others to follow her example. Everyone involved in this participated whole-heartedly.
