An American funk band hailing all the way from Bloomington, Indiana transformed one of the Beatles’ classic songs into a groovy dance jam.

In a video uploaded by The Main Squeeze on their YouTube channel, they made a cover of one of the Beatles’ most iconic songs “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”

The intro part of the song came like a surprise, making anyone’s heart palpitate.

The repetition of notes in a piano is remarkable for inciting suspense—then the tune suddenly softens like a caramel melting in your mouth.

Those mellow notes are sweet and caressing, giving off jazzy vibes similar to the background music you might hear in a café.

The drums and guitar enter the scene to accompany the keyboardist, and the cameraman swerves to the right to showcase all band members.

The Main Squeeze formed as a party band at Indiana University back in 2010—but what started as fun jamming turned into something much more serious.

In 2012, they released their first self-titled LP.

Three years later, they released their second full-length album entitled Mind Your Head. The album was produced by producer Randy Jackson. Then in 2017, The Main Squeeze released their third full-length album titled Without a Sound.

The members of the band are Corey Frye as the vocalist, Ben “Smiley” Silverstein on the keys, Max Newman on guitar, Reuben Gingrich on drums and Rob Walker on bass.

Corey’s vocals are sent from heaven, and they will give anyone chills down to their spinal cord. His voice is clear and simple yet soulful.

The drummer Reuben helps establish the rock vibe of the song.

With the drum set under his command, he is the heart of the band and provides rhythm to the performers. The guitarist Max just keeps silent in the back, with a few rips here and there to add some spice to their show. The way Corey sings feels like he’s dancing with the microphone, and the entire energy is contagious.

Even though we can’t go to any live music shows at the moment, this song will make you groove wherever you’re sitting!

As the song reaches its bridge, Corey easily belts out the high notes as Ben passionately plays the keyboard.

Still, the best part is yet to come.

Corey disappears from the center stage giving up the floor to Max.

After that, Max starts into a great guitar solo that brings a whole new life to the song. The way he tears through all those chord changes is enough to impress anyone, and it all sounds amazing.

Max really knows which notes to bend, to pluck and to sustain, leaving anyone agape at his performance.

Reuben accompanies Max as beats the drums and the whole song reaches a crescendo.

Max’s solo was the climax of the video he certainly nailed it. This time the guitar is not gently weeping, it is now making a beautiful cry. Some people say Max’s guitar is still crying up to this day.
