Sometimes, there is nothing better than being out on the open road with your best buddy by your side.
Driving down an open highway with clear blue skies, breathing in the fresh air and blasting your favorite tunes for all the world to hear – what could beat that feeling?
Walter Ledermuller, owner of the incredibly cute French bulldog Junior, could certainly agree. While driving down Cologne, Germany, Walter played a cover of “Diamonds” by Rihanna, with Junior at his side.
“I think I’m love with both! You make my day! First thing in the morning to watch you and then start my routine!” gushed commenters of the sweet video.
Junior has a special hobby – he loves to sing! When his favorite tunes and songs come on the radio, Junior can’t help but sing along with his owner, and it’s a very adorable sight.
At first, Walter belted his soul out, and Junior found himself feeling left out.
So he soon joined his owner, howling along in the most adorable way!
The way Junior nails those high notes would have Mariah Carey stunned.
Imagine, with the right training and dedication – or maybe the right dramatic story – we might be seeing Junior and Walter on America’s Got Talent!
Viewers loved the adorable video of man and man’s best friend.
And some were pretty jealous – they wanted some canine backup singing too!
Aside from being an amazing co-pilot, why do dogs tend to “sing-along” with certain songs? As descendants of wolves, dogs still share some traits with their wild ancestors. Some reasons wolves howl are to announce their location to the rest of the pack or to announce a celebration.
So when dogs hear certain pitches, dogs are reminded of the howls of their ancestors. Even a cell phone ringtone can trigger a dog’s “singing.”
So maybe the “Diamonds” cover prompted Junior’s wolf instinct, so he howled. Or maybe he really did want to sing along with Walter to make him happy.
After all, French bulldogs are known to have a tough-on-the-outside, sweet-on-the-inside demeanor. They are charming, clever dogs who will probably make you laugh with their adorable antics – just like this video does!
