It’s even better when you can share talents and passions with those people, which is definitely the case in this video.

As the video begins, we see four men sitting in a room, casually chatting with their guitars on their laps.

The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and that’s before you grasp the fact that those are Tommy Emmanuel, Richard Smith, Michael Fix, and Stuie French. The video is just part of an hour-long guitar session.

They are playing “Trambone” by Chet Atkins in this part, and it sounds phenomenal!

All four of these men are specialized in the fingerstyle guitar tradition, and that’s how they play here.

A complex fingerstyle playing technique is one of the things that made Tommy Emmanuel famous, but the others don’t fall far behind.

Emmanuel is an Australian guitarist, songwriter and singer who has released several award-winning albums and singles. He was inducted into the Australian Roll of Renown, and the fact that Chet Atkins has always been his hero makes the fact that they’re playing his song even more special.

Richard Smith is an English guitarist, who won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2001.

The National Thumb pickers Hall of Fame named him Thumbpicker of the Year in 2008 and inducted him into the Hall of Fame in 2009. Another great musician from this video is Michael Fix, who’s regarded as one of Australia’s leading acoustic guitarists.

His latest album, Cloud Surfing, came out in 2019.

Golden Guitar award winner Stuart French is the fourth man in the phenomenal, spontaneous quartet. His signature laid back style has made him one of the best electric guitar players in Australia and worldwide.

Some people don’t have enough time for their friends, but this video is particularly inspiring for how all four share their time and talent.

It’s obvious they share the same passion called music. The whole thing comes naturally to them, and it’s just like they were hanging out without any cameras around. The best part is how they briefly comment on random things about each other’s style.

You know that awesome feeling when you start talking to someone who seems to understand you, and he even gives you great advice because he gets you?

This video is full of that kind of awesomeness. You can say they’re professionals not because of their speed or their technicality, but because they stop when the other guy is talking and they listen to what their colleagues have to say.

In the end, they share laughter and agree that the tune is excellent, mentioning how it was “way ahead of its time.”

Some people were born to entertain, and that’s certainly the case for these four. Since the video was posted, it has earned more than three million YouTube views—which only proves just how talented they are!

We wish them the best of luck with future projects, both independent and together.
