What’s even more complicated is when you dance with a partner. Essentially, the key to winning this kind of dance contest is to have chemistry or connection with your partner on the dance floor.

Ben and Tessa prove their connection to be the strongest point when they danced for Improv West Coast Swing. Even if the pair is dancing impromptu, they do it well together and look very much like a well-rehearsed choreo.

The West Coast Swing is one partnership dance that started from Lindy Hop in Harlem in the year 1928.

According to Wikipedia,

“It is characterized by an elastic look that results from its extension-compression technique of partner connection and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor.”

This means that the dance partners will have to swing away and then meet together in that confined space on the dance floor.

The Swing dance is becoming popular with the new generation as they also find this kind of dance, fun and exciting.

The Mix & Match competition is one of the most awaited events in the Countdown Swing Boston. The dancers will be partnered randomly, and they will be judged according to their skills in improvising the dance.

This kind of dance is quite exceptional because the two are actually dancing for the first time. This is impromptu, which means they have not practiced their performance together. They have not choreographed the dance before the competition.

It is only at this moment that the two meet on the dance floor, but they look so fluid in their movements. Ben and Tessa have improvised the dance quite well, and they have given the song’s lyric a fantastic interpretation making the viewers watch them with excitement.

You can tell how strong their chemistry is despite dancing together for the first time.
