You show your talents off!
The Paris Texas fire department decided to have a go at the now viral lip sync videos that are taking the internet by storm. With 1.9 million views, these boys have set the lip sync trend on fire.
No men were harmed in the making of this video.
The video starts off with the guys sleeping in their quarters, a small smile on their faces as if in a dream.
As if on cue, the camera focuses on some of the guys singing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”
Utilizing their equipment and background, they emphasize the fact that they are manly men by holding an axe.
They even swing from the truck’s crane, completely mirroring Miley’s music video.
Complete with facial expressions and emotional gestures in their firefighting uniforms, they belt their muted voices out before the scene shifts back to some of the guys still sleeping as if lost in a dream.
A quick run through a country jam of George Strait’s “The Fireman” with the guys in a truck for good measure before fast-forwarding to a guy with his hat on, he mouths “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons before his friends join him for a quick dance in the wet.
Looks like the department mascot wanted in on the fun too!
They even poke fun at the police by showing them sleeping on the job with powdered faces from sugar. Must be all the doughnuts.
A fire truck drives by the cop car as they blast The Foo Fighters’ “Hero” with emphasis on the fire response team as the heroes.
Talk about starting a fire.
The quality and editing of the video is actually really good!
The video keeps getting better.
The build to a climax with some comedy thrown in makes for a compelling watch. These guys know what they’re doing and it shows.
You know a guy is confident when he does not mind wearing a tutu skirt while acting out Aqua’s “Barbie girl.”
He exits the room in sunglasses and a skirt, completely shirtless as he slides down a pole.
He sings and dances around a truck befitting a popular male at an all-girls party.
Pretty sure the ladies will have him.
At the end of his solo act, the boys thank the local police department for challenging them to create this amusing act.
They then proceed to issue the same challenge to other fire departments in North Texas. That means more hysterical videos to choose from. Thank you, gentlemen!
These lip sync challenges have no end in sight and no one is complaining.
These guys took the challenge to a whole new level. Now, other stations will need to step up to meet the challenge. And we can’t wait to see what they do.
