Over the years, lip-sync and dance challenges have soared in online popularity, and people from all walks of life have hopped on the bandwagon.
Of all of them, though, the Greenville Fire Department just might be our favorite.
They came in hot.
They may put out fires for a living, but this performance is definitely smoking.
It’s a firemen’s special.
Lip-sync challenges are a fun addition to the internet.
This trend has first responders around the country putting down their work for a moment and to have some well-deserved fun.
Each department chooses a song that they want to lip-sync.
As for the rest of the video? Well, that was up to them.
We watched the Nixa cops cut loose to “Footloose” and the officers from Norfolk get down to “Uptown Funk.”
You might be thinking it sounds unfair that the police had all the fun – but there were actually some fire departments that joined in on the battle too.
Welcome to the firehouse.
Instead of selecting just one song for their submission, the Greenville Fire Department decided to lip-sync along to a variety of popular tracks.
The video starts with Flo Rida’s “My House’ – so what better background than the fire station itself?
We’re given a little tour as one main firefighter walks through different rooms while mouthing the lyrics. But it’s about to go up a few degrees.
Somebody turned up the heat.
The next scene is like one straight from a calendar
. A Greenville Fire-Rescue truck pulls up with a bunch of firefighters riding along.
Although it appears they’re in proper uniform – you quickly realize, wait, there aren’t any shirts under those vests.
With LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” blasting in the background, the firefighters dance and “wiggle” their rumps.
The fact that they’re being sprayed with water the whole time is just the icing on the cake.
They simmer it down a moment.
In this scene, the Greenville firefighters give us a glimpse of their work skills too.
It takes place in a burned-down building where they’re digging with tools while lip-syncing to the song, “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins.
Nice job boys.
What fire department’s variety performance would be complete without a dose of patriotism?
The last song is “Pink Houses”
It’s a song by John Mellencamp.
Dressed in uniform, the firefighters mouth the words to the 80s American classic with our nation’s flag hanging in the background.
It’s a nice way to wrap up their epic performance.
Greenville Fire Department brought the heat.
Their video quickly netted over 3 million views with no lack of support in the comments.
One woman wrote, “Omg!!! HOT!! I think I need a shot of that hose now! EXCELLENT JOB guys!! Thanks for keeping us safe and keeping us entertained!!! 😂”
Another commented, “Oh lordy!! Look at all those bare chests with those muscles and those twerking butts!! Puts a spark back in us ‘older folks’ for sure!! LOL God Bless all the firefighters across the country. This video is HOT!!”
