While some people feel being stuck at home is boring, there are others who are filling their days of quarantine with fun new activities. And for those in the latter group – it doesn’t get more entertaining than an internet dance challenge!

Families have been taking a break from their TV remotes and participating in the “Blinding Lights” dance challenge on TikTok. All that’s required is a good attitude, lots of practice, and of course – The Weeknd’s hit song “Blinding Lights” playing in the background.

The videos that have been uploaded are priceless.

A spokesperson from TikTok told the Manchester Evening News:

“With so many isolating with their families during this time, we’re seeing a lot of TikTok creators using this challenge as a perfect opportunity to get everyone from all ages involved.”

But it’s not just families under “lockdown” taking on the challenge.

Even workers are putting on their dancing shoes and getting in on all the fun. The choreographed routine has an eighties vibe to it that includes an epic “swimming-type” move. Really, it’s hard not to crack a smile watching people perform the dance – which pairs perfectly with The Weeknd’s track.

There’s one category of dancers that are really turning up the heat when it comes to the “Blinding Lights” challenge… FIREFIGHTERS.

Groups of firefighters have been showing that they’re not just brave heroes – some of them can actually dance too! The three men in the video below decided to take on the challenge as a “stress relief.” Since they danced in their suits, there’s no doubt it was a really good workout on top of that.

These firefighters decided to get some fresh air during their dance performance.

With their firetruck in the background providing flashing lights, it’s the perfect setting to let loose. Can you imagine being a fly on the wall during their practice time? Now that would have been a show and a half!

Some internet users are putting extra creativity into their challenge videos.

After the Nuneaton Green Watch team was challenged by the Rugby Fire Station, they decided to bring their A-game creating their “Blinding Lights” video. It starts with them all going about their business in the firehouse when suddenly, mysterious music begins to play…

Everyone seems confused about the music and realize it’s coming from downstairs.

The men take a ride down the firepole and that’s when it becomes a massive “Blinding Lights” dance challenge. While a lot of performances only have a few participants, theirs has a larger group of dancers. Careful though, because they’re on fire!
